If I Start Withdrawing From Alchohol Will Drinking A Glass Of Wine Stop It

I stopped drinking wine 3 nights ago because I had surgery and knew I would be taking hydrocodone for pain. Now I fear alchohol withdrawal.If I drink a glass of wine will that stop the withdrawal if that happens?

Hi Sissy, yes! Drinking a glass of wine will help if u have alcohol withdrawals. It's like an addict, if they r withdrawing, taking opiates will help them. Hope u feel better.

Alcohol withdrawal doesn't usually occur, unless you've been drinking fairly large amounts, every day for a long period of time.
