It would be best to only take them as prescribed. Taking them too close together could result in Acetaminophen overdose toxicity.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

You can take Tylenol 3 and Norcos at the same time. I read this post and they say not to cause of an acetaminophen (Tylenol) overdose. So if you take a Norco it's has 325mgs of acetaminophen and a Tylenol 3 has 300mgs of acetaminophen so that is a grand total of 625mgs of acetaminophen. Do you know when you take 2 regular tylenols that is 1000mgs of acetaminophen and that amount can be safely taken every 4 hours. So no chance of an acetaminophen overdose you are not even close to a regular dose of acetaminophen.

Mike, that is not correct. Do Not Take 1,000 of Tylenol (Acetaminophen) Every 4 Hours ! !

Extra Strength Tylenol has 500 mg in each pill. You can take 2 Extra Strength Tylenol every 6 hours, for a limited time. Regulat Strength Tylenol has 325 mg in each tablet. You can take 2 Regular Strength Tylenol every 4 hours. The FDA states you should Never Exceed 4,000 Tylenol in a 24 Hour Period.

Tylenol #3 has 325 mg of Tylenol. Norco has 325 mg of Tylenol.

Tylenol 3 does only have 300mg of acetaminophen in it not 325 but anyway. If you take a Norco and a Tylenol 3 you won't come close to taking to much acetaminophen to OF like the original post says.
