I Tested Positive For Methamphetamine And Don't Drink Or Use Drugs

I tested for my work and tested positive for methamphetamine and dont drink or use drugs. I know what i have put in my body: nyquil and vitamins, monster drink, tea & coffee. There is no way i am using drugs. What can i do?

There's not a chance methamphetamine would be in your system without you already knowing why. Prob why nobody else bothered replying. Not a chance. That is the same as my husband finding out 2mrw that he's pregnant! Unless he's really a woman transy well same goes for finding methamphetamine in what you claim is the perfect healthy body! Good luck with finding a single person swallowing your back story. Not trying to upset you. For real. But if you're on here seeking real advice. I'm afraid you're going to have to give the REAL story. Otherwise you run the risk of rendering this site useless.

False-Positives do happen, first of all. I am an RN, I was in an accident & am currently on leave from work & taking MS Contin (Morphine Sulfate) for my severe back & leg pain. I also take Wal-Act, for allergies, which is Wal-Green's brand of Pseudophed. Upon going to the hospital, for dehydration, I was required to provide a urine specimen. The tested showed positive, for Methamphetamine, LSD & Ecstasy. The drug test done, was the dip stick & not sent to the actual lab, for more precise testing. The Physician came in & confronted me with the results & of course, I contested it, was very argumentative & stated, that I had not done these drugs, or EVER, touched a single drug in my entire life. He stated that the results speak for themselves & that especially, as a Nurse, I should seek help. Worried about this being on my permanent record, negatively affecting my insurance & future career as a Nurse, I called the Hospital Administrator the following day. I told her The story & about the results. I asked if the hospital still had the urine specimen that I had provided? She said, "yes," that they were required to keep specimens, for 7 days, in case a possible retest was needed. I demanded that the same specimen, be sent to an actual Lab, for a retest & I threatened that I'd be in contact, with my Attorney. She complied with my requests & retested the urine specimen. The next day, the Hospital Administrator called me & informed me that the test had been rerun & the results showed, positive for only Morphine & Pseudophed, but NEGATIVE, for Methamphetamine, LSD & Ecstasy! So yes, in some cases, False-Positives do occur! I Note: in this case, the test, was only done by dipstick, which is similar to a pregnancy test kit, or like the drug test kits, purchased in a drug store. I am uncertain if Nyquil contains Pseudophed? I believe, that it only contains diphenhydramine, but if it does contain Pseudophed, which is one of the main ingredients used in Methamphetamine? It is possible, for certain types of drug tests to reflect, "positive," for Methamphetamine, so don't be too quick to cast judgement, instead, educate yourself.

I drank alcohol 3 times in the last 6 weeks. I'm about to take a hair etg test. Can I use bleach to pass or do I need to use hydrogen peroxide with it?

I truly believe you! I tested positive too. I was shocked when the doctors assistant said I had amphetamin and methodone in my system. So, YES!!! You can test positive while taking Nucynta.

Ok let's get this straight, you take methamphetamine and go to work and have the balls to TRY to see a Dr and pitch the old I fell and hurt my back and need opioids story. Your an addict and that's why legit people have a hard time getting their scripts.

I tested positive for methamphetamines twice at the hospital, I admit I'm a recovering user, but haven't used since last year went in the hospital for gallbladder give them my med list and the Dr tells me I'm an addict and need help, I take albuterol, atrovent and Adair inhalers, also take zantac, celexa, seraquel, lovastatin, vistaril, and verapimil, will any of that cause me to test positive, also take Vick's NASA spray. My husband thinks I'm using again. But I'm a recovering addict, who chooses life and family over a drug

I believe you, it’s happens to both my husband and myself, but years apart. There’s always a chance they human error. I hate it when people judge someone they don’t know, it’s rude! No one should judge anyone till they walked in their shoes. Innocent till proven guilty, not the other way around!!
