This antibiotic is a generic for Augmentin, which contains Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid, so it does not contain Penicillin. While it should be safe for you to take, there is still a slight risk that you could be allergic to it, as well.
This is used to eradicate bacterial infections and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
