Hydrocodone Apap Liquid Uses

I was prescribed this for a severe cough , is this a cough suppressant or is it also good to loosen the congestion

Elizabeth hydrocodone is a smooth muscle relaxer and can be used to help relax the cough response. a suppressant. the apap is Tylenol. if there are no other ingredients it dose nothing for the congestion. hope this helps
