Hydrocodone Apap 7.5 Liquid

Hi I was prescribed hydrocod/apap elix 7.5/500 sol. I was wondering what the dose would be to be equal to the 7.5 hydrocodone pill.

It is exactly equivalent, the intention of it is to give 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen in each dose.

Side effects will also be the same and may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth.

I am having a problem getting my hubby's Lortab Elixir script filled. Neither RiteAid or Walgreens can get it. Do you know why? He had 35 radiation treatment on his jaw and can't eat without taking a half dose before meal. It's going to be an emergency if we don't get this med. Please advise!!!

These days the ridiculous DEA overregulation on even the mildest controlled substances, like cough or anxiety medication, has scared many of the large chain pharmacies into making it sometimes difficult to impossible to fill a prescription at one of these places. I would recommend finding a small, independent, "mom and pop"-type pharmacy, of which there are many around, depending on where you live. The only downside is they're usually more expensive, sometimes a lot, other times not so bad, so you may want to discuss the price of the refill at the time you drop it off

We've been able to get the Lortab Elixir without difficulty since the first incident. Now, however, after the treating oncologist said my hubby could have prescriptions indefinitely, his associate said, my hubby would have to see him on a monthly basis to continue getting this medication because of DEA guidelines. What guidelines? This puts an additional cost burden on us. Not only will we have to pay for the prescription, we will now have to pay for a monthly office visit charge. In addition, this monthly visit is a great time/travel inconvenience for someone fighting a life threatening illness! My dear hubby has been fighting cancer for 7 years now. Based on his medical history alone, he should not have to go through this aggravation because of DEA guidelines. So frustrating!
