Hydrocodone Apap 12.5 Mg Vs Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5

I have two prescriptions for this. One says hydrochlorothiazide 12.5
The other says hydroco/apap 5-325 mg. Both pills/tablet
What's the difference? in drugs?

These are NOT the same medication, at all, they are completely different, they treat different things and are in completely different medication classes!!

Hydrocholorothiazide, which I have an old bottle of sitting right here, is a diuretic, it is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, some heart diseases and edema.

Common side effects may include: nausea, headache, dehydration and dizziness.

Hydrocodone with APAP/Acetaminophen is a narcotic pain reliever.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
