Two things are possible. One, when it was reclassified as a Schedule II the bottles the pharmacy's had were sent back to the manufacturer. It is possible they are running short or don't have any. Second, this time of year it is not unusual for Schedule II meds to become very hard to find or not be able to find them at all. The reason is because the manufacturers are only given a certain amount of active ingredients for 1 year. When that runs out, they have to wait until the next year to get any more to make the meds.

@walter,

This may be more of a last resort option, but perhaps talking with your doctor about the trouble you're having when it comes to filling the prescription he wrote, would enable him to put down a different quantity or dosage that may make it easier for some pharmacies to fill? I mention this because I have actually heard of cases where the pharmacy really does have the medication in stock, but would only agree to fill it in a specific quantity or dosage that's currently available...So I'd just see if making minor adjustments to the script would allow some pharmacies to be more flexible as well. Other than that, it may come down to looking at different pharmacies outside of your general area or changing scripts to sometime else altogether, since something is probably better than nothing when it comes to chronic pain management.

Hope this helps!

I was taking opana 10mg and I was sweating and itching. My doctor switched me to hydro condone 5/325. I can't get relief with just 1 or even 2 but 3 at least seemed to help me be able to walk or sleep with little pain. Do they make a 15/325 hydrocodone
