How To Treat Folliculitis

Wondering if this cream called terrasil works for folliculitis, heard it does but don't know anybody who have tired it.

Treating folliculitis depends on what's caused it, it can be bacterial or fungal. Which it is will dictate the correct treatment. Your doctor should do a culture of one to discover the proper way to treat it.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Terrasil as possibly including skin irritation, redness and dryness.

Yes..folliculitis depends on what can caused it.. As for my experience it is bacterial. It appeared when I worked out and took an hr. to take a bath. So it started with one like pimple..and when I wash it with soap..it was irritated that it became enormous. I didn't mind it coz I thought it will gone..till it was not getting better I decided to go to my dermatologist. She gave me mandelic lotion, hypoallergenic soap, (cetaphil), mupirocin (antibacterial oitment), and moisturizing cream. Which were all I bought to her clinic. So when I used it it calm and its gone but not all..it will healed but tomorrow there will be another like pimple will pop out and more..so I suffered like this from december 2015 which I started my medication..I always have to purchase mupirocin monthly and a whitening soap from her clinic just to even the dark spot it left.. and Every time I sweat another one will pop out. I am depressed with this coz it was already august 2016 and still not totally eradicated.. so I searched on internet day by day.. So here is what I did.

1. Every time I sweat if I feel that, even a little hot on my body.. I take a shower. I used safeguard germ shield soap. It's cheap. I started using it and it didn't irritate my skin. So I continue..it makes my skin very dry like it's peeling.. so it did make my skin peel off and wow it cleared my folliculitis. But because it was dry I tried to used safeguard derm since it makes my skin soft and it help it all clear out..

But after I ate dairy products ..oh it popped out again =(

2. So I don't eat dairy.. Instead I eat veggies, meat, fish, fruits.

3. Change your bed sheet every other day.

4. Always used clean clothes after a bath... don't repeat it.. never. I also used cotton underwear always.

5. Drink 3 glasses of water on an empty stomach in the morning. Not cold. It helps boost your immunity..and release toxins in your body. And throughout the day at least 8 glasses to help u hydrate.

6. Sleep early.

7. Don't make your self stressed.

8. Always keep your skin dry.

9. This helps me eradicated my folliculitis totally.

I washed it first with safeguard germ shield, very foamy. And washed it thoroughly. Then I used hypoallergenic soap after (cetaphil). What I did was I don't wash it with water, instead I wipe it with a clean soft towel and make it dry before wearing a cotton undies.. And I saw improvement ..I had 1 folliculitis pop out so I just put mupirocin on after.. Then I continuously did it as a routine until I didn't see any single pop out. And stay positive, don't stress yourself. I did it on sept 2016 and today is october 2016.. I am free from it.. thank God.

Then I just used whitening soap to make it even.
1st. Safeguard to clean the germ from sweat. Then wash thoroughly.
2nd wash thoroughly with whitening soap
3rd. Put cetaphil on, wipe with a clean soft towel, then dry.
4th. Wear cotton undies.. don't wear fitted clothes.
5th..take a shower again if u feel hot or u sweat.

It helps me.. i'm free from folliculitis.. now..
