I’m on day three if trying to get it out of my system. I only took 25 mg twice and I’m having racing heart still. It’s been two full days and one morning. Ugh I hope it goes away. Maybe I had underlying heart condition that I didn’t know about... I’m going to check with my doctor.

Literally took 25mg of hydroxyzine around 6:30pm yesterday. Its 7:30pm the following day and im still feeling the sedation. Got a headache and spasms. Dont recommend

My daughter weighs 109 lbs and she took 50 mg of Hydroxyzine. It is prescribed to her as needed. Two hours later she was terribly lethargic, confused and impaired coordination. She ended up in the emergency room. They gave her Normal Saline flush Thursday night. It is Sunday and she is still sleeping and groggy. This drug is absolutely horrible. I am trying to find out how can she get this poison out of her system and come back to some normalcy. Any ideas please let me know.

maggy i had sever pain in the adomen and the doctor put me 5/325 my, I thought it was mostly tynenol,well I was wrong it addicted ox 5mg. I went detox and they gave me bendrytl,visteril ant checking my records ,i have very seriuos side effects at antihistemens. This is the worst i ever felt. I sayin Goodby visteril ,no one should ever go through this feeling,believe it or not they give it to our children.Parents this stuff can kill your babies.

I think this hydroxyzine is the best medicine I've been on because I been on a lot of medicine in the past but I think I just found the right one now. I got it from a psychiatric hospital in Phoenix Arizona called UPC. I will keep you up to date on how it is working. {edited for privacy}

I had a very severe adverse reaction to it, I still can't seem to get hydrated and I only took 50 mg as instructed at bedtime. Side effects: headache, mania, eyes, severe mood swings, could not focus, raise my blood pressure immensely, it enhanced the symptoms of anxiety instead of taking it away, I felt a little tired after about 36 hours of taking it. I read somewhere it takes a hundred hours to completely be out your system. My experience says that's about right, but my doctor prescribed me Two and a Half mg of Valium a day and it's not helping because the hydroxyzine hydrochloride already advanced me beyond that point. So now I'm trying to figure out what I can do to get sleep because I wake up 3 times in an hour now. Does anybody have any suggestions?

When the hydroxyzine is leaving your system can it cause vomiting? I only took hydroxyzine a couple times. Cause I notice it was making my blood sugars go high. So instead of taking 25mg I’ve been taking half a pill instead of the full pill, so how long would it be til it gets out of my system if I took half of 25mg and can it cause chest pains?

When does the half life of this drug BEGIN? Does it start right when you take it? Or is it after the 4-6hrs of the effective time (for sedative effects)? Should a person be experiencing the bad side effects AFTER the time it’s supposed to be effective for?
Why do I experience the side effects of this drug close to when it is supposed to be out of my system (20hrs)? I've had symptoms such as bad headaches, dry eyes and a kind of dry throat. I’ve been taking this med for 4 days in a row (for insomnia and anxiety). Have the side effects GONE AWAY for anyone taking the med more long term? How long did that take?

Vistril enhanses whithdrawl from gabapentin as gabapentin has the same whithdrawl as Opiods.Its horrible.

How long does Hydroxyzine 50mg last in your system if you've been taking it for 10 days at night only? I took my first dose on 10/2 through 10/12 and my last dose was taken at 9:00 pm. Is it safe to drink a beer?

Do you mean IF you live... 750mg of Vistaril is quite a lot. It's 7 1/2 times the amount needed to sedate TO SLEEP, a full grown man. It's going to last a long time. Probably days, or eternity. I would say don't do it.
