How Long Does It Take For A Medrol Pack To Work

I had an allergic reaction to the Dermabond used as glue after my surgery. I was prescribed a Medrol 4mg dose pack. I have been on it for 2 days now and no improvement. How long does it usually take to see improvement? I am still red, swollen and itching badly.

It may take several days, before you start to see improvement. Has there been any change, yet?

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne and insomnia.

How is the itching? You may want to ask your doctor what you can take to help relieve it.

I just had the same thing happen in response to Dermabond. It's awful!!! Doctor just prescribed the Medrol pack. How long did it take for the itching and rash to subside for you?

I get really bad hayfever when ever I go on holidays to Greece. The doctors always prescribe me medrol 4mg, however I have lost the instructions. Please could someone tell me how many I should take a day and for how long for ?

So, you lost the bottle or package with the label??? If they are 4 mg tablets, take 6 tablets the first day, spaced evenly apart; 2nd day, 5 tablets, spaced evenly apart; 3rd day, 4 tablets, spaced evenly apart; 4 th day, 3 tablets spaced evenly apart; 5 th day, 2 tablets spaced evenly apart; 6 th day, 1 tablet. You are finished!!!

Medrol (methylprednisolone) 4mg dose pack.
#21 tabs for 6 days
Day 1: Take 2 tabs before breakfast, 1 tab after lunch, 1 tab after supper and 2 tabs at bedtime
Day 2: Take 1 tab before breakfast, 1 tab after lunch,
1 tab after supper and 2 tabs at bedtime
Day 3: Take 1 tab before breakfast, 1 tab after lunch,
1 tab after supper and 1 tab at bedtime
Day 4: Take 1 tab before breakfast, 1 tab after lunch and 1 tab at bedtime
Day 5: Take 1 tab before breakfast and 1 tab at bedtime
Day 6: Take 1 tab before breakfast.
