Horrible Headache And Unsure Of How Far Apart To Take Doses

Starting Belviq yesterday at like 9am w food. Felt fine most of day till 4pm and then I had a horrible headache, possibly a migraine. I still took my second dose at 5:30Pm with my second meal (didn't have time for lunch) I was pretty miserable last night.) I took my dose at 9am again and am taking it easy today but wondering if these symptoms with go away soon or will they remain a problem and lastly how many hours between doses?? Thank you.

According to the US National Institute of Health, headaches are listed as a general side effect of Lorcaserin (Belviq) that you should report to your doctor in the event that it becomes too severe or does not go away on its own.

They also go on to list a "fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat" as a serious side effect that may require immediate medical attention at:

So if you are experiencing these types of symptoms I would encourage you to contact your doctor just to be on the safe side, as I don't think there's any true way to measure how long they'll last, since each individual reacts/responds differently.

It is also your doctor's job to determine how much and how often you should be taking your doses in order to help minimize risk factors while maintaining the medication's therapeutic value.
