Hair Drug Screening And How Long Drugs Stay In You

If Vernon or anyone else would know the answer to this question; I would greatly appreciate it. I have written a few times about being given very STRONG pain medication and not getting any relief. It was via an IV and the meds were Morphine 8mg, Dilaudid (2 shots?? don't know why..) and Toradol.

I just need to know if a HAIR TEST which my doctor will prescribe for me would indicate the presence of Morphine, Toradol and Dilaudid (which is 10 times as strong as oxycontin 40mg depending on the dose) ?? I read that ALL drugs can be detected in your hair even if you wash your hair every day and are out in the sunlight 24/7....and they can tell with some degree of accuracy the approx. date of the introduction of said meds into one's system.

If Vernon is still there...I did make a complaint to the hospital and just yesterday I saw in the local newspaper that 6 nurses were found to be taking the meds intended for patients and using them themselves..hmmm..right. Also the LVH spokesperson with whom I am dealing with has turned the complaint over from her dept.called Service Excellence to two other depts. called the Patient Safety Officer and the Patient Medication Officer...so it seems that she does suspect from my dialogue with her that something is amiss. I also have engaged an attorney who listened to not only this ISSUE but several other things that happened during the same ER visit. He was very quick to take on the case. From what I am finding the time period for optimal detection in your hair is around 90 days, give or take. There isn't an exact, precise answer, because both exposure to the elements and personal hygiene will cause them to start leaching out and the amounts eventully get so low that they can no longer be detected.

Very sorry to hear what you are going through. This type of thing going on is truly unacceptable.

I really do hope that you get to the bottom of this.

That said, it is verwon, not Vernon, I have been female for many, many years now! LOL!

If you received Morphine, Dilaudid and Toradol via shot you would not have any question as you would be stoned out of your mind. This is a coctail often given for unrelieved/irritractible pain.
