Glycomet contains the active ingredient Metformin, this is an oral anti-diabetic medication. It is used to help lower blood sugar and, sometimes, to treat PCOS.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and low blood sugar.

Glycomet helps you break down fat in your body especially in your mid-section. PCOS/PCOD reduces your ability to break down glucose and thus more fat stored. This fat coats your ovaries and the eggs cannot come out becoming cysts. Keeping your fat percent down helps prevent ups and downs in your hormones. High DHT can be treated. Ask your doctor.

Blood glucose levels of 151 Fasting and 176 PP is very normal and your doc has rightly prescribed you the meds.Pls note that Glycomet(metformin) is starting level drug for the management of type 2 diabetic.when ur having that much control just using metformin plain tablets then there is no reason to panic. Also note that normal levels doesnt mean that it should match with your lab normal levels.
