Generics Clonazepam C1

There are all these conspiracy theories about clonazepam generics, the FDA heavily regulates these and cannot have > +/- 20% of active ingredient. I too favor the tevas, but those are the old school generics and I think we just have an emotional attachment/ placebo effect to with regard to them. These placebo/mental effects can cause REAL withdrawal symptoms (my psychiatrist is one of the top pain/anxiety management docs in Texas). Also certain message boards dont even allow generic brand comparisons because there can be no noticeable difference between generic brands in terms of the effectiveness, but there may be placebo effects on addiction/withdrawal. Does anyone have any non-anecdotal evidence to support certain generics being worse than others?

If you really want to read up on it, you can research the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 and that will provide you with the necessary information regarding why generics are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus, or minus 20%.

The FDA also warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. (NCD code for more information 16729-137)

Hi,I noticed a difference with the generic Clonazepam from Northstar. I'm taking it for a few days now and I feel like I'm having withdrawal symptoms. The previous manufacturer may have been Teva, but I don't know for sure, I have to ask my pharmacy.
Anyway, I am fairly sure that the Northstar Clonazepam is not the same quality. I'm not happy with it at all.

I'm having the EXACT same problems with my North star generic clonazepam! A 20% reduction in the active ingredients (You know the manufacturer is doing this to cut their costs at the expense of their customers) MOST ASSUREDLY can cause problems such as withdrawal symptoms when changing over.

Yes, I've taken generic klonopin 1 mg for yrs. I've always received the manufacturer Mylan, but just the other day I picked up my prescription and I ask them what is this? Another manufacturer.....Accord. Definitely can tell the difference....and genetics are cheaper, so why would anyone think some off the wall generic medicine would be as good as what you know works. No, not me. I requested to be told when they're out of Mylan n I'll go somewhere else. They hold onto the those bunk generics and when they run out of the good ones.....they give you those old not heard of generics!! That's not right, in my opinion...just saying!

Yes! My psych actually writes for my clonazepam “accord, sandoz, Watson brand only NO ACTAVIS” I asked her to do this because I had horrible withdrawals after they discontinued the green TEVA, and was switched to Valium. Worst mistake ever. I’m back on the kpin now.. I noticed withdrawal, side effects and 0 help with my severe anxiety, also with my Adderall I request either sandoz or teva. Sandoz first. So I don’t get the s***ty aurobindo ones. Worst addy.. so either ask your doc for specific brands and to put them on the script or simply talk to your pharmacist a few days before you run out). Everyone is different. I’m living proof genetics are NOT equal and consistency is a major issue.
