Generic Percocet Manufacturers

Updated

I have ulcer disease and can't take any nsaids, especially aspirin. I've been taking generic Percocet 5/325 for about a year now for broken ribs and other things. I just got a refill and they changed the manufacturer to Camber T192 white round tablet.. when I opened the bottle the first thing I noticed was the smell of aspirin and the chalk all around the bottle. In the past they have always filled it with Actavis white round coated pill #A349. These had no smell at all. I called the pharmacy to ask about this as their printout also said the Camber pill is blue and it is white. The girl assured me I had the correct pill, it was obviously generic and the manufacturer had been changed. She said it was not aspirin. I do know what it smells like. I am just concerned because if I take these and it be mismarked or something than I will have done damage to me. Any advice on this new medicine?

It is a generic for Percocet that is manufactured by Camber Pharmaceuticals, you can find more details by clicking on this NDC number: 31722-192.

The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

Have you tried taking them, yet?

The smell of a tablet is often dependent on the inactive ingredients used in them, as well as whether, or not they are coated.

Hi. I am 26 years old and I have 3 kids all via c-section. The doctors stuck epidural needles in my lower back. I have a lot of severe pain not only in my back but in my feet and legs cause I'm also diagnosed with lymphodema. And the doctor won't prescribe me any pain medicine simply because I'm young and they think that I'm only using it recreationally when that is not the case. My husband is the only one that works. I really need help.

I've got that smell coming from my bottle like posion. I feel like I constantly need to go to the ER on these new Camber 10/ 325. My pain and body are so out of control due to this very bad generic. :(

I too am concerned with this generic. My Pharmacy switched to Camber generic Percocet half way thru last months fill. Pharmacist only made a quick comment that half was a different manufacturer but totally the same. I have severe pain due to DDD and have been on this medication with no issues or reactions. I went to take today's dose & noticed a horrible smell. I know it's more than likely the inert ingredient(s), but why would this refill smell so bad after one week!!! I had noticed its slightly less as effective, it wears off way too soon which makes me wonder if they are skimming on the active ingredient. I'm very familiar with this prescription and dedicated to responsible use, so to have it unreliable is alarming since I'm relying on relief to do normal activities. I also have been having stomach upset which I never usually have & did not connect to this until a horrible smell came out when I opened the bottle today.

Is it yellow? If you get it wet does it turn brighter yellow? Is there speckles or no speckles and does the smell sort of smell like vinegar?

I had been on Percocet (generic) 10/325 since 2006 for chronic pain due to Arthritis in back, nerve pain, Crohns, and other issues due to 8 abdominal surgeries, including 4 hernia repairs, gallbladder removal, hysterectomy where my bowel was knicked and woke up with a tube. Went on to have 4 bowel obstructions. I had a terrible surgeon. Just in the past year I started noticing different looking pills and told my Doctor about it. He told me to talk to a pharmacist. I did and the answer was it’s a different manufacturer. They either didn’t relieve my pain or one would throw me right into flu like symptoms and I was so sick. I decided to stop taking them and yes withdrawal was excruciating but I’m alive. I was in so much pain one day I couldn’t get comfortable and just cried. My friend in Indiana where I’m originally from, said I’m giving you this pill and put it under your tongue and let it dissolve. Amazing, pain was gone within 10 minutes. I asked her what it was and where can I get it. She said it was a Subutex tablet. However, she only gave me a 1/4 of one.

Well, I went back to the Doctor who referred me to Rheumatologist. She ordered a drug panel. They called me and asked if I was on Suboxone? I said no and went on to try and explain what my friend gave me to help my pain, only to find out they had hung up on me. I then received a certified letter from my Doctor saying he was releasing me as a patient and to seek help for my drug problem! I was mortified. Now I can’t find any Doctor who will prescribe my medicine back to me. They just want to push Gabapentin and antidepressants, which make me feel even worse. I can’t do my daily living activities. I started this medicine with my internal medicine Doctor in Indiana. I moved to Louisiana in 2012, and it took months to even find the Doctor I had to prescribe it to me, and I still had to go through a month on 800 mg of Ibuprofen before he would prescribe it to me. I’m in legit pain. I just don’t know what to do. I’m not crazy, yet they all want to put everyone on high doses of antidepressants that they tell you have horrible withdrawals and you must come off very slowly. Interesting, since that’s what the opioid crisis is about. Can’t come off of those immediately either or you could have a stroke. This is not health care! Lost and in pain in Louisiana.
