Generic Adderall White Pill R 351

Updated

I have been taking Adderal for many years, the orange oval generic pill. My last prescription had white R 351 pills. I never had a problem with the orange ones. The new white ones give me chest pain and nausea and I'm very shaky inside and out to the point that I thought I was given the wrong medication by the pharmacy I use. Has anyone else had a bad experience with the white R351 pills?

Hi Cheryl,

Sorry to hear about your situation. How are you feeling right now?

According to the US National Institute of Health, "chest pain" is listed as a potentially serious side effect of both Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine; whereas they recommend contacting your doctor immediately.

NIH also lists "nausea" as a symptom of overdose at:
[1] Amphetamine - ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0078785
[2] Dextroamphetamine - ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0045222

Personally, if it were me I'd probably stop taking it at this point. But it may just be best to consult your doctor before making any significant changes to your dosing regimen.

I hope this info helps and wish you good health!

Hi, I received these same pills last month from Walmart. They were awful. I was tired, cranky, couldn't concentrate. I am so angry because I can't get a new script due to insurance for another day and these pills do not work. Check your pharmacy before filling. If they switched to these pills go elsewhere as they do not work. FDA needs to get these off the market please.

I also just got these from Walmart yesterday and they are terrible. The pharmacist said there shouldn't Be a difference but I feel sick to my stomach and they feel more like a sleeping pill than anything else.

I also received these white pills from Walmart. They've always carried the orange football- shaped ones, that's why I always went there. These new white pills do not work, make me nauseous, and taste absolutely awful.

How bizarre...Im going through this very same now also. I actually went to the ER complaining of chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, nausea, etc. My respiratory rate was a mere 6 to 8 per minute! My neck veins were severely distended. Something is very wrong with this brand and make of meds!

I have them and they work perfect. No problems at all. Just the same as the orange.

I lied- I looked on the distributor website and cannot find them.

These are awful. I just assumed that every pharmacy either carried the orange or pink 20mg Adderall IRs so when I left Walmart and found that my pills were white, I was shocked. I thought they must have made a mistake, but no. When you look them up they say "amphetamine/dextroamphetamine". THESE ARE NOT AMPHETAMINES. They are like a chalked up version of Ritalin/Focalin (drugs I hate). I tried to work today at my job being on these and it was horrible. Worst social anxiety, awful taste in mouth, jitters, heartburn, nausea and NO FOCUS. All I was focused on was when the f these horrible drugs would wear off.

My walmart recently switched to these. They are awful. They give an "on speed" feeling. Racing heart, anxiety, and hair trigger irritability. I literally felt the physical "about to scream" sensation, until it wore off.
Seemed to give some energy, but the poor state of my mood removed motivation.
It also gave me intense heartburn, I had to take it with food-don't need to on typical generic.
I suspect it may be responsible for migraine headaches during the come down at times too.
I am angry because I have taken adderall for nearly 10 years for fatigue. I have been steadily decreasing my dose and working to get off and doing well - but this has set back my progress.

Luckily, I was able to get back to my old brand. Good luck to others who were assaulted by this imposter.

How were you able to get your old brand? Did you have to wait until next month to fill at a new pharmacy or were you able to exchange them?

That is the kind of Adderall I have to get every month! Dr shopped. (And yes got away with getting 3 scripts monthly for years!) just filled at 3 or more pharmacies and filled scripts from 3 or more Drs which were all CDS pills and that is what got me. . Anyways, locked into my local pharmacy and get the same Adderall 30 mg 4 times a day and they work just the same it is all in your HEAD!! I promise you. I know alot of people who think this and have this issue of not thinking adderall generics are not created equal but they are pretty darn close.

I used to get that way with ritilan until I switched to adderall which isn't even close to the ritilan and I've tried all the generics and then some and they are all the same it's more mind over matter when ur used to taking the same one for a while.

I had the same problem (high heartrate, nervousness, but most of all a lot of dizziness) with the white oval R 351 generic adderalls. After getting 1 batch and feeling odd when on them, I convinced the WalMart pharmacist to give me the peach ones on the last Rx. Tonight I was out and needed to take one (a half, actually) and I only had the white ones in my purse. And soon afterwards and right now, I'm having those same awful reactions! So it HAS TO BE the white pills. They may (or may not... does anyone know where they are manufactured?) legally have the same active medication as the peach pills, but the additives and/or the inactive ingredients are not right, and are most likely causing the adverse effects. I agree, these 351 pills need to be taken off the market.

Btw, I've always had motion sickness and vertigo. But while on the peach pills (for over 15 years), nothing. I noticed it early on, and my doctor told me that one of adderall's little-known side effects is repressing motion sickness tendencies. Sooo, if I'm getting dizzy and having vertigo after taking R 351, then something is terribly, terribly wrong with this medication.

Re: Joey (# 12) Expand Referenced Message

I’m happy for you that the generics work. Back in the day, when I had money, I spent nearly $300 a month for namebrand Adderall 20 mg three times a day. The effectiveness of the generic is nothing but powder sugar. My insurance decided not to cover three pills a day so now getting to 30 mg daily. If I still had the money I would still pay nearly $300 a month for name brand if it would help me live a normal life instead of doing 98% fatigued 100% of the time. Generic just has very little effect with my ADD or CFS. My tolerance level is just too high. Praying for you all and hope you find the answers that you’re looking for.

Re: EL (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

Yessss!! I got these same tablets at Walmart as well and just like in the original post I actually thought they had given me the wrong meds??! Those were by far the worst generic version of Adderall that I’ve taken thus far. I had a horrible headache, nausea, heart palpitations, and no focus what so ever. Of course the pharmacist totally dismissed my concerns and responded as if she couldn’t care less when I reached out with questions. This in particular is what frustrates me the most with this whole generic vs brand and generic vs generic thing is that as the consumer we have legitimate concerns as we are ingesting these meds on a daily basis, some twice or three times daily, and we are met with dismissive or suspect attitudes from the so called “professionals” who have chosen this field to “excell” in. To say I’m frustrated is an understatement. This issue has obviously been happening for some time now, and not only that but progressively getting worse. It’s a very real and very serious problem and something has got to be done about it. If this were a blood pressure medication or something of that nature, (any, NON controlled substance) concerns and questions would NOT be getting dismissed, nor would the patient themselves be made to feel like some criminal for simply voicing our concerns or inquiring as to which manufacturer these pharmacies are using because damn near every month when I get my prescription filled I find a different version of my meds? Different In physical appearance (which can be alarming on its own) and most prominently in the effectiveness to treat our disorders. In my opinion the level that these meds can vary is just scary and more importantly dangerous. I’ve never heard my dr or any dr that would call for the patient to adjust the their dosage by 10 or 20 percent daily. ??????? Isn’t this potentially what’s happening to thousands of individuals who are being prescribed Adderall but due to cost we’re having to compromise our mental and physical health because our concerns are falling upon deaf ears unfortunately. The only way to get this issue addressed is to continue to speak out about the subject and to encourage others to do the same. If you think you’ve been treated unfairly by pharmacists or pharmacy staff or have had legitimate concerns dismissed as if they were common side effects speak up and report this behavior as well. It’s not fair to get treated like a criminal just because we’re questioning the integrity of these drug companies. We really deserve better than just subpar effectiveness and especially when considering the money spent. ??????????

My Dr said that the 30m Adderall (crapy generic, org oval) that I take twice a day is the MAX dosage. It has little effect and for a short time. Ty, I will do further research
I put one under my tongue 2 hrs before i need to get up. Better than nothing.
I just tried ridlen for a month last month. No good.
All I want is the name brand Adderall. I would take less and ins.would SAVE $$

Re: antfarm24 (# 18) Expand Referenced Message

Hey I totally agree with you, the switching of the brands is crazy and unhealthy. I also use a CVS I was getting the regular orange ovalish ones that work best for me, the round peach/orange give me bad migraine and the white ones did the same as everyone else. Maybe if there's enough people we can do a civil action suit. I think the pharmasists need to realize we are all human regardless and if a person has a concern it should be taking seriously like they would if it was there child. These are people's lives they are playing with. If they weren't so concerned about grabbing the cheapest drug to distribute to the public just to save money then the pharmacies deserve to be shut done.
