My hubby's new doctor proscribed him Flur/bac/lido 10/2/5% pentox 3%lipo for his upper back pain. What the hell is this? Why not just give him a pain killer to put him out of my mesary?

This is a topical analgesic that contains Flurbiprofen, Baclofen, Lidocaine and Cyclobenzaprine, its most common side effects include skin irritation, redness and rash.

Many doctors prefer to try these first, to see if they help, before they resort to prescribing other medications that might cause dangerous side effects and which could possibly be habit forming.
