Hi. I have a degenerating disc disease in my back and neck. I also had 2 Rotator Cuff surgeries this year that was no good and tore my bicep muscle. I also have fibromyalgia, IBS, was on pain medication and doctors took it away. Now I'm looking for a pain management doctor that prescribes any pain medications. I am allergic to morphine and can take hydromorphone. Can you help? Please let me know.

Need to find a caring physician in Toledo Ohio or close that will prescribe pain medicine for people in pain. I'll even go up into Michigan. What is the medicine for if it can't be used? Because a few people abuse the prescription drugs everyone should continue to suffer? It's outrageous. If this is the case why is Alcohol still available to us? How many people abuse alcohol? I need a real dr. That isn't afraid to treat their patients or a recipe for hydromorphone. Someone please help me.

I am 64 years old. I was taking Tramadol and hydrocodone. I go into my doctor one day and she says she can't give me my meds anymore, takes me flat off of them and the doctor is scared of loosing her job. I ended up in the emergency room with all kinds of problems because i was taken off without being told in advance. I have had fibromyalga since i was 35 years old, i could not do my job, i was in some kind of awful pain, weak, so tired. I hurt all over. I went threw all kinds of tests and therapy, but nothing helped me. When she gave me my meds i was thrilled, i could face the day and take care of my life. I never abused my meds cause i did not want them taken away from me, but they were over no fault of mine. I am 64 now and have taken pain meds since i was 35. I always had blood tests done to check my liver. There as of yet has not been any problem with my health. People that really need them should be able to get them. At my age i dont want to become a couch potato, but you know what, i am not moving a lot, and have trouble getting things done because i hurt.

The government is getting rid of pain medication. The only sick people who will get it is person's with terminal illness and post surgery and that's only temporarily. I was surprised when my nurse said they no longer carry Demerol in hospitals. A lot of patients with chronic pain are being prescribed Motrin which may not be addicting but also causes liver damage and kidney failure. The DEA eliminating prescribed painkillers and coming down hard on doctors and pharmacies are affecting the health of people who are in dire need of it for legitimate medical purposes. Since the government has called it an extreme epidemic mainly because teens have been stealing them from their parents' medicine cabinet, abusing them and dying from overdoses it's affecting thousands upon thousands of people who take them responsibly. The government is basically saying damn the sick, elderly and disabled who can't have a normal life because of chronic pain and suffering day by day from debilitating illnesses. This isn't a good idea to me because the people who truly need them are weaned off or cut off completely. And to me it makes no sense when you have the sick pouring into sketchy neighborhoods substituting painkillers for heroin.

This is extremely dangerous because you don't know what street heroin contains. I doubt very seriously that these kids are overdosing on the pain pills but rather homegrown heroin from intravenous use by sticking a needle in their veins filled with heroin. This is unfair and unfortunate that pain patients have to suffer. It kinda sounds stupid and is actually contradictory. Since doctors are petrified to prescribe them in fear of losing their license or going to jail, just substitute it for cheap street drugs which makes no sense to me at all. This is the wrong approach in curving this problem. I watch my grandma in pain everyday because of osteoporosis, bad knees and a bad back so bad she can barely get out of the bed. Politicians are not doctors, but feel the need to tell them how to do their jobs and what they think is best for their patients. The United States is not a democracy but slowly turning into an autocristicsociety. Determining what goes in our bodies and what is in our medicine cabinet is extreme. We are losing our rights slowly but surely.

That's wrong, it's an old prescription that you took. I took my fentanyl 100, cause of insurance I was taking off after 5 years and put on junk. I had the new stuff and my 4 hydros a day, years later during covid my doctor messed up my video call, got no appointment till 2 months got 7 of my junk meds (BELBUCA), at a lower prescription and even told the doc on my video call. He stopped my Hydros, he said for a bit but never put me back on cause the insurance, and I read the letter said to stop that too. My Dr isn't even supposed to listen to that insurance cause it's my secondary. I've got 2 insurance and it's great but the second is just to finish off my bills. I say if others wanna screw with the meds let them drop dead, I could care less. These new laws, the DEA they can all kiss my A$$. For me to some what function I need my F100 and Hydros. Doesn't solve it but makes me do life a lot better. Can't get help from the president cause he's a dope. He can't even spell his own name. Can't wait to see how many vote for that Biden again, he's not helping.

Re: Wendy (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

You should have sued your doctor, they are not allowed to do that. The pain you were feeling was withdrawal. She should have weaned you down and put you on something like BALBUKA and tramadol or such things related. But you could have gone threw heart failure or such. Very illegal, to late now though. I was also taken off my meds but weaned down to junk meds. I was in a very bad accident over 20 years ago. I took no meds and did 3 years of surgery, I still have them. Went back to work when I was told not to, it was 3 years of hell but I was a single father but I couldn't anymore after I fell on the job and rebroke my back. After a couple years I had to go to pain management after a bit I was on slowly up to fentanyl 100s and hydrocodone. I wasn't healed but I could function. I could do yard work go out do things with the kids, everything just was some what better. But now because of the losers that have addiction it interferes with my meds. If they wanna party and die freaking let them but screw giving them any free state help if they're unable to pass a drug panel. And if they break in to help their habits, freaking shoot them. Cause of this I've got to suffer and so do the people around me. This is also thanks to our crappy government and even our loser president Biden, who has no brains at all. Thanks to all who voted for him even the first time they voted for him and that other dope president that screwed up health care. And you vote again, people just don't think. Now look at the debt were in.

Re: Bonnie Baker (# 6) Expand Referenced Message

You are big time right. We have *****s in our government, even our president Biden. Their all full of it but it's fine for them to drink morning, noon and night. And I'm pretty sure we had a couple of presidents that depended on coke to get through their days. And the addicts, let them enjoy and drop dead. But the responsible should be able to also enjoy a life after this unfortunate things that happen to us. I understand be careful of some of these doctors, but my doc has turned into a big but head. He's scared of a mistake. I went from my fentanyl 100 and my 4 times a day hydrocodone 10s and some little things after 5 years to Belbuca 600 and tramadol for the past 5 years. This does nothing for me. The doc even just showed me a letter from my secondary insurance which has no say but they just said he has to ease off the tramadol. All this I've been told by my heart doctor and my primary doc that this is bad. Causing my BP to rise, stress, several different things that are not good. All this stuff is bad for me because of the chronic pain I have everyday. So here my pain management doctor is killing me. I already have a file with records and statements from my other doctors of what my unmanaged pain is doing to me so that if something happens my lawyer is going after him.

I also suffer chronic pain I am 51. The path gives me back movements and freedom of life that I hadn’t experienced before. I have been talking them now for 10 years and I wouldn’t be able to garden and walk my little dog a bit without out them. My pelvis is badly damaged and every part of my spine damaged. Now I moved to the country nsw and can’t find a GP at all let alone someone who will prescribe for me. It’s just not fair, tried literally everything else out there nothing works like this patch. In 10 years time , doctors will see the benefits, why are doctors so scared of the unknown.
If it helps people. Why not prescribe it.
