Find A Doctor In My Area For Xanax

I have extreme anxiety and have been on Xanax for some time. I just moved to Charlotte and can not find a dr that will help. Does anyone know of a doc that wont treat me like some type of drug addict for asking for help that works!

You have been on it for some time. Why did you not bring some with? If you are getting them by some other source do not tell the Doctor as you will be looked at as a drug seeker. How old are you?

I'm 33. And I did have a two month supply, and since I will be out very soon, today I went to a doc in my network and he said that they do not perscribe Xanax or klinopin due to addictive products, only anti-depressants that have anti-anxiety aspects. I do not abuse my meds and find this ridiculous. He wanted to change all my medications, which from what I heard, is not effective nor beneficial....as your body can not determine what is working or not.

You say you did have a 2 month supply. Don't let yourself run out without the proper tapering! Xanax can make you very sick. I'd look for another doctor?

No, what you heard about changing medications is not correct. It may take a few days for your body to adjust, but a switch will not have any effect on whether or not they work for you. Eventually, everyone needs to switch, because their body will build up a tolerance to what they take regularly.

Many of the antidepressant and anxiolytics are very effective for many people that try them.

The doctor has no choice in the matter, they are restricted in what they can prescribe. If you really need to continue with the Xanax, you'll need to see a specialist. The easiest way to get an appointment with one would be to ask your doctor to refer you.

Did you find a dr. In Charlotte that was willing to prescribe the 2mg. Xanax? I just moved back to Charlotte and am not being treated nicely when I ask for what I've been on. I need help. Please let me know where you found.
