Fibromyalgia What Medication Helps?

Updated

What is a good medication for Fibromyalgia? I use to actually take a Pain Sucker from my doctor in Kentucky, but since I've moved my doctor won't give it to me. I have a lot wrong with me. Chronic pain, Fibromyalgia, RA, OA, memory loss, DDD, and many other things. L4,L5, S1 messed up, doctors won't do surgery. Migraines almost daily., Whip lash, my left leg stays numb, like blood circulation cut off. Chronic Pancreatis, Gall Bladder removed, Left thyroid and connector removed, both shoulders have had surgery, and 1 knee surgery. I'm on the edge of being bi-polar, depressed, have anxiety attacks and panic attacks. It just doesn't end. Which the judge don't think I qualify for SSDI and I've applied since 2000 ! Anyone have any ideas? I've taken so much, nothing is helping and i'm getting worse.

While I can't recommend specific medications to you, I would suggest that you continue pleading with your doctor to see if they can help. If you don't mind me asking, where do you currently live? There are generally clinics available in many areas. I would say that you need to sit down and have a serious discussion with your doctor regarding your problems and if that doesn't work, change doctors. Sorry I can't offer more specific advice at this time.

I am very sorry to hear about your conditions.

"As with many other syndromes, there is no universally accepted cure for fibromyalgia, and treatment is typically aimed at symptom management." [1]

With that said, a variety of medications are generally used to help with this condition, such as Gabapentin, Pregabalin, along with strong pain killers and anti-depressants.

Also, where are you located? There must be doctors out there that can help you. Obtaining the medications you need will require a prescription anyways, so I am hoping that you've been able to find some help. Please respond with any other details you can include and good luck!
