Well, this can have some adverse effects. I am not sure if you have previously used narcotics, I know this should not be used by anyone who has not already built up a narcotic tolerance as it is a very, very strong med. 80 times stronger than Morphine as a matter of fact.

My doctor tried taking from Darvocet to the patch 25s and I was so sick, for days, that I couldn't even hold down water, even when she gave me the strongest antinausea that she could.
Some people love these, they can work wonders for pain, but they don't agree with some people, so you will basically have to try it and see.

It doesn't release 25mcg every hour. The whole patch has 25mcg, it releases 2.55 mcg every hour (I believe). It is generic for Duragesic and is a great medication for someone who has ongoing chronic pain. I use the 50mcg and sometimes the 75mcg. myself. What a difference in pain level,(except for days like today when it rains a lot.)

Yeah, the gel in the patch makes it a controlled slow release. My mother-in-law who is a nurse at a local hospital in charge of several departments was telling me how many ODs they have had from people who either opened these up to get all the med at once, or they chewed them or sucked them like someone would rub snuff.

Im on 100mcgs/hr right now! The Duragesic patches as of right now and i was on the mylan. I just wanted to correct NENENE because his/her information could actually hurt somebody. Any misinformation with strong opiates/drugs could hurt or kill someone. First of all i am an ex-heroin addict and i was just on suboxone (buprenorphine/nalaxolone) and moved to the 100 mcg patches. When it says 25/mcgs 50mcgs 75mcgs or 100mcgs it means that every hour. NOT I REPEAT NOT MCGS TOTAL!!! It releases that amount every hour so i get 10 MGS over 3 days, well for me 2 days ok? so sorry NENENE i had to correct u. Which it is wierd that you are prescribed or u buy a drug and dont know what it does. PLEASE BE CAREFULL, because obviously you are taking fentanyl and not knowing exactly the doses or power of it. WOW GOOD LUCK BYE GUYS. P.s IM SO SICK OF NOBODY KNOWING WHAT THERE DOING WITH DRUGS!! YOU HAVE TO RESPECT DRUGS ESPECIALLY OPIATES. YOU WONDER WHY PEOPLE O.D OR DYE, AND THERES BULLS*** LAWSUITS THAT GET GREAT DRUGS THAT HELP PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THERE DOING!!! IT DISGUSTS ME. WELL GOODLUCK AND VERWON UR DOCTOR SHOULD BE FIRED AND LOSE HIS MEDICAL LICENSE FOR GIVING BARELY AN OPIATE LIKE DARVOCET WHICH EXCEDRIN HELPS ME MORE THAT DARVOCET TO A DRUG LIKE FENTYNAL 25mcgs AN HOUR!!! AN HOUR OK PEACE GOOD LUCK CYA ON THE NEWS YA IF U DONT LIKE HEARING THEN F-OFF BECAUSE U REALLY DONT NEED TO BE TAKING DRUGS IF UR MENTALLY HANDICAPED!!!!! PEACE. AND HONOSTLY IF THIS POST DOESNT GET ACCEPTED BECAUSE THE BLUNTNESS AND HONOSTLY THEN U GUYS WILL HURT URSELFS AND DYE FROM MISINFORMATION OF A DRUG NOW FINAL BYE
