if you take a 25 mg Fentanyl Patch and it is not that strong of a prescription for you, can you take additonal painkillers like vicodin as needed? Like taking a few vicodin every few hours during the day while on the patch.

Please DON'T first stop the Fentanyl It's a nightmare!!!! You are on a path you don't want to travel. Find another way, PLEASE for your own sake!!!

Fentanyl is 80times stronger than Morphine, therefore, I guarantee it is STRONG for you! Mixing it with other narcotics would be extremely dangerous, it is highly addictive and you run the risk of overdose, with possible fatal consequences.

Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

This is one of the MOST POWERFUL opiates, so don't let that 25 in the dosage fool you!

As suggested....do not stop fentanyl without your Dr's. Input.

I have been on Fentanyl for years. I take quite a large dose. Ask your Dr what he/she suggests for extra pain or if your Fentanyl needs to be increased.Do not at all increase yourself.
