I take large doses of neurontin, wellbutrin and the muscle relaxer flexiril. Can these drugs cause a false positive for methadone?

I tested positive for heroin last month and have been clean for a few months and I am told it only stays in ur system for 3 days....I dont understand how this happened. I used my daughter's urine and put my meds in it bcuz I smoke marijuana so I know there is no way i should have a positive test for heroin or that I had anything in my urine test except my meds. I take lexapro, seroquel, gabapentin and clonazepam, but to respond to the person taking xanax thursday and going to the Dr on tuesday, xanax will stay in ur system for 30+ days so it will be in ur system for sure! Can't understand why I tested positive!!!

Re: Jo jo (# 1)

I was just researching Neurontin as a mood stabilizer since I'm not liking the side effects of the Depakote. I was reading on a well known medical app and it just says that it may cause a false positive but it doesn't say what it may show up as. I've read on another thread that several people have had it show up as marijuana. There's no telling what it may show up as, probably everything ?? ??. I can't believe that you failed for opiates and others for weed, I'm sure that if I would have read more I would have seen the various things that it shows up for. I think that when the person who is giving the test, hears that someone is on Neurontin, they should expect a false positive. The one time I failed a drug screen was for a workman's comp claim. I went to the ER and they did the drug test, which the night before I took one of my wife's Lortab 10mg/500 and then when I woke up the next morning I took another one, then around lunch time I took 2 Darvocet. The next morning the workman's comp lady came and talked to me and I told her everything that took including the Lortab, then a few days later I get a call from an out of area number saying from some dr office and that I failed my drug screen for Darvocet. I called the caseworker for my workman's comp and she said that's no big deal since I was honest with her. I didn't know that they even tested for Darvocet in drug screens. I was on Neurontin for about a year, I never had a drug test so I don't know if I would've failed for something that I didn't take.
