Elevated Blood Pressure

I have been on losartan 100mg od, lisinopril 20mg od, bystolic 10mg plus triamt/HCTZ tab 37/5/25 od for a few years to bring my blood pressure down which it did to between 130/88-140/90 but now it is back up to 190/90-200/100. The lisinopril and bystolic was increased too, but with no real effect; and today minoxidil 10mg was added od. Am I taking too much meds? What about drug interactions?

No, multiple medications like this are often prescribed, when someone has dangerously high blood pressure and need to bring it down safely as fast as possible and I din't find any interactions or problems listed, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure.

The FDA classifies Minoxidil as an antihypertensive that can also promote hair growth. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, irregular heartbeat, swelling of the hands/face and cardiac lesions.

What else are you doing to help lower your blood pressure? Do you watch how much salt you ingest? Do you get plenty of exercise? Do you avoid caffeine?

I have been on a low salt diet for 40 years. Get some excesise, I have fibromyalgia also and neuropathy in my feet and legs. Do have some stress in my life tho. I don't do caffeine at all.
