Effects Of Neurontin

My wife started taking neurontin last week for nerve pain in her back and legs the Dr told her nothing about the side effects and the pharmacy gave her a blanck piece of paper so she didnt know about the side affects. when she wasnt working she was taking hydrocodone and valium for the pain she wrecked her car at work because of the side affects, what can she do?

I like to read all information about any drug and it's side effects before taking it. Then ask ?'s.

It is a nasty drug, I take 1200mg a day. Helps alot - I don't have to take hardly any hydrocodone anymore :)

Thank you Barbara ! Just to summarize the side effects from the link which you posted:

"Most common side effects in adult patients include dizziness, drowsiness, and peripheral edema (swelling of extremities); these mainly occur at higher doses, in the elderly. Also, children 3-12 years of age were observed to be susceptible to mild-to-moderate mood swings, hostility, concentration problems, and hyperactivity. Although rare, there are several cases of hepatotoxicity reported in the literature. Gabapentin should be used carefully in patients with renal impairment due to possible accumulation and toxicity."
