Drug Change
UpdatedI have a question in regards to Lyrica. After an accident I have been on Neurontin 1800 mg for about 3 years, do to damage to my back and nerve damage. Will this drug in smaller doses do the same and/or better. It scares me to change a drug that works for me..

the dose your on is yhe maximum allowed im surprised your taking that dose the lyrica is basically for nerve damage but they dont have enough reasearch on it if it works why change i would talk to my doctor about it they get write offs on new meds and this has not been on the markrt long enougggh to really know whats going on whith it good luck
I was on Neurontin also. I went to a shoulder specialist and he perscribed the Lyrica 50 mg 3 times per day. I found that I no longer need to take the Neurontin and I feel more alert. He didn't tell me to stop taking anything. I just stopped the Neurontin on my own.
I would like to find out more about mixing Neurontin and Lycra at the same time. My doctor perscribed this for me today and now I am kind of worried. I also take Amitriptyline. I have been diagnosed with RSD/CRPS.
