I am suffering from chronic constipation for the last more tan 15 years. Once my doctor prescribed Lactihep syrup to be taken before retiring for the night. Initially, it helped, but now its effect is wearing off. My stool is clay like and sticky and it is insufficient in quantity. Due to this, I pass gas quite often and once the gas is passed, my motions simply stop. I also suffer from chronic low back ache which worsens one the constipation sets in. Earlier, I used to take one cap full of Lactihep. Can I increase the quantity? What other remedy is there? Please help.

If you've been using it for a long period of time, then your body has probably gotten quite used to it, so it is no longer working as well for you.
