Dosage Per Day

I have sa sore throat and am coughing up green colored mucus . my bottle has 40 tablets of penicilina-v 8000,000 u, what is the dosage per day & how long do I take it?

Hi kate,

The usual adult dose for an upper respiratory tract infection is:
"Penicillin V potassium 250 to 500 mg orally every 6 to 8 hours for 10 days"

NOTE: 800,000 U is the equivalent of 500 mgs
