Hello, I've been on Oxycodone 30mg IR for 3 years now cause I ruptured 3 discs in my neck. I am running very low and was gonna take a couple Percocet 10/325 until I see my Dr in 3 days for a refill. Will the two pills show up differently or the same in my UA?

I have a drug test that will be given very soon for a potential employer. I have a oxycodone rx but had to take percocets because I ran out.

Will this show up as the same drug? I'm concerned.

Ok I take 5mg /325 Percocet and 5mg oxycodone. One has Tylenol an one does not. Percocet goes from 5mg - 7.5 & 10mg. What makes it Percocet is the oxy mixed with acetaminophen (Tylenol) ok now oxycodone is not Percocet. Oxy has no Tylenol an will Show up different. So a 5mg -10mg - 15mg - 20mg - an 30mg all have NO Tylenol an show up the same on a drug test. If ur dr gives u Percocet u only can go up to 10mg that's the highest I've seen it go. But u can NOT take any of the oxycodone 5 thru 30mg the difference is the Tylenol. So basically if u get ones with Tylenol you can take any of the ones made with Tylenol. If u r given oxycodone/ without Tylenol u can take any oxy because they don't have Tylenol they show up the same. I just got out of a Drug Program so I do Know. That's all Ima say.

Percocet and oxycodone are the same. Percocet only goes to 10mg with acetaminophen (tylenol) in dosage strengths of 5/325, 7.5/325, or 10/325. It will say oxycodone with one of those mg on the rx bottle label. Without acetaminophen they normally go from 5, 10, 15, or 30mg dosages. In special cases there are higher doses administered by iv or liquid doses by prescription. I've seen 60mg liquid rx for a friend with terminal cancer wjo passed away. I tried one of those and in 3-4 minutes I could feel it. Best pain relief I ever had!!!

Re: loni (# 4)

Maybe... Is it possible? Yes. Is it probable? No.

Just depends on how in depth of a test they do. So ignore all of the so called guessperts here that "guess" at it but act like their guess is the biblical version of Moses on Mt. Sanai!

if you're on Percocets and take Oxycodone instead, you will have NO Tylenol in your system, so just take a couple regular Tylenol and it's over.

However if on Oxycodone just say you took some tylenol to see if helped.

Don't listen to all these people that are telling you yes it was show up the same. That is not an absolute given. It all depends on the type drug test. There are drug tests, and then there are drug tests..

The difference is a Percocet has Tylenol so all they have to do is test to see if you have Tylenol in your system and if you do NOT, then it's oxycodone or OxyContin.

In your case it's reverse and so are you have probably safe and just say you took a Tylenol as well, but I doubt that would ever come up to be honest and that's 1 million to one.

But if you're supposed to be on Percocets and you are taking oxycodone or OxyContin they can bust you really fast by seeing no Tylenol.

So depending on the test, most probably, you are safe. But there are no absolutes anymore in drug testing!

Re: Plumber Man (# 14)

This poster is absolutely correct and almost identical to my post. Nobody should respond unless they know what they are talking about and I can't stand it when people who have very little working knowledge give advice to others!!!
