Can you tell me about any doctors who can prescribe Vicodin

The OTC meds may ease the pain very little, but as with hydros most have acetametiphine or tylonal which is poison, they put in 325, 500 05 650 mg of acet. to stop the abuse factor when drug companies know it is poison and will rot your liver. It does littel to discourage abuse of taking more than 3 or 4 a day which the only reason they cannot give more than 4 QID is because of the legal amount of acet. not the pain medicine itself. If you are taking more than 5 a day of the 10/500 or 650 mg then you need to do your liver a favor and do a CWE when taking them. The cold water axtraction {CWE} will take out the poison and leave you with only the pain medicine. Your liver and health will thank you, I know it is hard to manage with only 4 a day so we do what we have to do and take more, but get rid of the poison acet. with a CWE if you are taking more than 5 a day.

Anyone else feel like I do?--One more doctor tells me "Everybody has back pain", or like the doctor yesterday-"Everybody has lordosis" I'm going to punch them!!!!!! Oh, I've had this too--in a condescending tone--narcotics for back pain. Everybody has back pain. You shouldn't be on narcotics for back pain. I wish she could live with my back for just one day!!!!!

And I'm tired of all the people taking narcotics just for fun making it hard for those of us who are in pain. Every time you turn on the t.v. all you hear about is who's in rehab or died of overdoses, and it just gets worse and worse for us!!!!!! They really piss me off!!!!

Missy 437--If you are talking about MAPS, no, they will NOT give you a prescription. You would be wasting your time going there.

Yeah Cindy my Dr is making me go to MAPS he doesn't want to do my pain meds anymore... do u think being disabled helps my case? Also did u see i posted a 800 number for u to call? go see them. they believe in meds . im going on the 11th. and yes u r absolutely right that people out there using meds for fun r really pissing me off cuz it makes it hard for us that NEED IT...

Missy449--I, too was sent to MAPS by my dr. when I made the mistake of letting her know that the 4 vics a day weren't working like they did 2 years ago. She said I'll send you to a pain doctor where you can get all the pills you want--want, not need. That really hurt. Also, I called that l-800 number and I wasn't impressed. The guy wanted my name before he'd give me any info. I didn't give it to him--I asked what place he was associated with and he wouldn't say. Where are the locations--vague all over. Finally, I asked about Mpls MN--he said he'd transfer my call, came back shortly and said nobody answered but if I left my name and no. they'd call me back shortly. I did--that was about 6 hours ago and noone has called. Let me know how your experience goes.

Tony 443--I read that on the internet about the acetominophen being a conspiracy, but the guy also said that you could take a hundred or more percs or vics (I don't remember the number but it was a lot) and they wouldn't kill you and the tylenol would take 5 to 8 years to destroy your liver. Given the choice, I'd rather have 5-8 years of LIFE than an indeterminate number of years of PAIN. I'm 52,by the way, and already tried to kill myself once because of the pain. Besides, I heard that the 7.5 and 10 percs and vics don't have any tylenol in them--that they were straight oxycodone or hydrocodone, which would be even better for your liver--If this is true, I just don't get it.

and by the way--WHY DO WE HAVE TO PUNCH IN THOSE LETTERS THAT ARE HARD TO SEE THROUGH THE BROKEN WINDOW EVERY TIME WE POST????Damn, that's annoying.

Mantog 6--have you tried the Tramadol thing yourself? Cuz I went there and my computer said it was and unsecured site or whatever and not to give them any personal info or credit card info. BTW--I had Tramadol before the Vicodin, so when I couldn't get any more Vics, I took the trams, but I had to take like 8 or 9 to feel better.

i recently moved to the north kc area. need a dr. who believes in pain meds. don't take them often but if i need to i want to know there is a dr. that believes in them, have had a very bad expierence in the past from a dr. who didn't and i don't want to go thru that again!

Anyone know of a MD in Asheville, NC that will prescribe oxycodone or hydrocodone for low back/leg pain-a slipped or bulging disc? I was diagnosed with one two weeks ago, given skelexin and tramadol and steroids. The first two did NOTHING at all for the pain, and the steroids seemed to start working to relieve it slightly but then midway through my regimen, the pain came back, and it continues to get worse. Please let me know of a doc in Asheville NC that will prescribe opioids. NSAIDS dont work for me at all because I have used them too much when I was younger.
