Hello, Matt! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in so much pain.

What type of doctor are you seeing?

If you require heavy narcotics on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist, so pain management might be your best bet.

The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

Is there a chance your current doctor might be able to refer you to someone?

yes I've seen pain management Doctor who gave me some BS shot that was suppose to block the pain, charged medicare $7000 for nothing, absolute robbery. And that's what's happening, there giving us sub-par at best medical service now. Where all treated like were drug addicts or drug dealers. WTF is that? White, Mexican, Black, they don't discriminate were all there for the wrong reason's to them. Personally I'm tired of the medical system's treatment. And I don't stand alone. Now I have chronic pancreatitis, angina, copd, 4 herniate disc's, and a torn left shoulder, and can't get med's cause everybody's scared so the patient's just suffer with no med's and judgemental treatment.

Hi..i have a non cancerous tumor the size of an orange attached to my uterus..or a uterine fibroid.I have been in severe pain everyday,as i believe it is pushing on my organs, bladder, intestines, and maybe others.the first obgyn offered me a myomectomy surgery..and took 3 months to schedule surgery, then as i was in pre op..the anesthesiologist decided to cancel my surgery for concern of my heart..then wouldnt continue to prescribe 7.5 hydrocodiene..i then decided to find a new obgyn because I have educated myself of new procedures which are less invasive..my new obgyn gave me 30 hydrocodiene and wont prescribe me any more..my primary doctor initally gave me 60 and now wont prescribe me any more and wont give me a referral for pain management..as supposedly my condition will be taken care of in about 2 months..the healthcare system in las vegas is a joke,I am grateful that i was able to get medicaid as this is too painful and havnt worked in 10 months..but because this pain is soo intense and i cant get proper medication,I have become hopeless and very depressed...it takes anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks to even get a dr appointment here and I am not a drug addict, have no history of drug abuse but drs do treat you as an addict if you ask for hydrocodienes and because the DEA decided to re clasify certain drugs and apparently have threatened drs,the people who are in genuine pain have to suffer and go thru daily pain..I do not think that many doctors here in Las Vegas became drs to help people but for the money..where is the compassion? Where is the understanding? Where is the care needed for human beings in pain? Isnt that the reasob we go to drs in the first place... again it is one more constitutional amendment right being taken away..I dont know where to turn anymore.. this has been going on too long.. can anyone help? where in las vegas can i find a dr who will actually do their job?

Hey everyone I am 25 with a spine my chiropractors, doctors and PT's have described to me as a 80 year old construction workers spine from snowboarding professionally growing up. Along with that I have fybro, and am about to go in for a biopsy of my thyroid because my white blood cell count has been high for almost two years and my body is in so much pain from everything I just don't know what to do anymore. I am a young entrepreneur and have had 4 business's already and am a tattoo artist that is always hunched over. I'm not a drug addict or dealer I'm just a hard working member of the community but have been living off a small dosage of pain medication for 5 years and just can't take it anymore. I live near Seattle but going to Vegas for the week and was trying to find someone who will prescribe me roxy 30s or something stronger to last me a while seeing that I can't get a break around here. I have insurance but not a lot of cash. Any help with a Dr. Or pain specialist near Seattle and or Vegas I could go see. Please if anyone knows anything I would be so greatful. Thank you all for your time.

Can u give the names of some of the docs please? I only know of Maryanne Phillips and the others got cracked that i knew. My doctor i've been with for 6 years discharged me because i was incarcerated for four months and missed my appointments. I was just robbed by mind body solutions on Jones $375 and wouldn't give me nothing at all! My U/A's were good and i'll never see doc david lindens ever.

I just moved to Vegas. I recently found out I have spinal stenosis. I've yet to find any pain dr here yet. I'd be incredibly happy to get those meds or anything to relieve my pain. Can you or someone please recommend a pain management dr? Desperate and suffering.

Hi,

I will be travelling to detroit. I am looking for a pain clinic. Since I don't have insurance. If I was to pay cash? Do you think $500 would be enough? I am looking to speak to a dr and have him or her. To write the right medications for my needs?

Thank you, any help would be very helpful.

Jose,

Sorry it doesn't work that way. Without insurance very few if any doctor's will even agree to see you. If you're able to book an appointment it's normally 225-300.00 for your initial visit paid up front. That doesn't guarantee you will get what you desire or anything at all until a consultation, exam and recommended testing. Then is the cost of prescriptions. So unless you're lucky enough to find an understanding compassionate doc (THEY ARE RARE IN TODAY'S LITIGIOUS SOCIETY). It's a long very expensive process for those who are self pay, sadly.....

Thank you for your answer. I was just blown away by how many pain pills were prescribed in Florida Vs the rest of the USA.

Well I just hope law makers will find some middle ground. Yes there was too many opiates being given to some people. But the truth is there still is room for more if all people were treated for exactly what their needs are in the health care field.

I do find it interesting that it is Florida that caused so much mess for the rest of the states. Not everyone from Florida but given the 80's now the 00's again. What is it?

Also I really don't like what I am hearing about how suboxone and subutex is being dispensed in some area's.

I am just looking for a Dr who is not afraid to prescribe in the area of 40-60mg of Morphine of day.

Let me know please. According to the CDC that is not a high amount.

Thank you.

Hi. I live in las vegas and looking for a pain managment doctor to prescribe 30s as I've had 4 surgeries on my knee and 1 on my shoulder. My doctor just wants to do more surgeries to "fix" the issues but the problem is they are not getting fixed and he doesn't want to prescribe anything. I can't handle anymore surgeries or the pain. I do have insurance. Does anybody know a pain doc or any doctor that will help me live life without constant pain? Thank you so much for anyrecommendations

I go to SMA southwest medical but I have been with them since before the government got involved. My primary prescribes my pain meds but for how much longer who knows. I have been to 4 pain management Dr's. Here they were all uncaring and just want to give inj's. Also it is harder to get your script filled especially at walgreens. Good luck.
