Doctors In Idaho That Prescribe Methadone

Iam an opiate addict and methadone has been the only thing that has helped me, I have tried subutex, suboxone, to no avail. I live in America doctors should listen to there patients, I need help.

Hello, Ryan! How are you?

Under current U.S. law, a regular private practice doctor is not allowed to prescribe it for drug addiction. The can only be done by those specially trained in its use, in a clinical setting, thus a Methadone clinic is your only option.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

I know that doesn't really help your situation, I am just informing you of how things currently stand.

I appreciate your feedback, it sucks that we as addicts get, looked down upon. And judged when we are trying to do right. The one doctor I saw put me on subutex, you can take it the rest of your life he said, we'll it's a narcotic with morphine. Side effects suck. What's the difference? The potential risk of overdose is the same. Hell, you can overdose on Tylenol, doctors and state laws need changed I believe, there are great doctors out there, we need help, and I hope none of you people that made this stupid law never have the same problem.
