Dilaudid Vs Fentanyl Equivalencies

How many mcg of fentanyl n how often would equal to the 6 a day 8mg Dilaudid I'm taking. My tolerance is going up really fast. I'm suffering. 25 mcgs of 10 fentanyl patches are only $44, while ridiculously 15mcg is 184$. Just wondering if 25 mcg and 10 patches in a month is what I should ask my dr for? She prefers ms contin but it's 88$. Can't win for losing. I can give everyone a tip tho. Use an RX Savings Card - YOU SAVE A CRAP LOAD OF $$$ USING THEM!! ;) Thank you in advance for any replies.

It only takes .64mgs of Fentanyl to equal your current daily dose of Dilaudid, the patches are usually changed every 72 hours.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

No ty I've lowered my dose of Dilaudid myself so my tolerance will not build so quickly. I only want to make the Lord happy and not go thru those awful wds from fentanyl. Ty for your reply n your info tho. Happy Thanksgiving!! ;)
