Tramadol is much more powerful than many physicians claim it is. Get it filled. It will replace the narcotic effects of the other opiate & common dose is 2tabs at 50mg each. I've been to hell & back with tramadol withdrawals & vice versa with the others for many years; pharmacists all over the country will tell you the truth: one opiate replaces the other when it comes to withdrawals. Period

Hello, James! How are you?
While it does work very well for some people, Tramadol is actually a much weaker opiate, so it would require approximately 150mgs of it to be equal to each 10mg dose of Oxycodone. Of course, you shouldn't switch and take that much, without your doctor's approval.
The FDA warns that this medication has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there anything else I can help with?

Jason 40yo Says:
I was on zydol 50MG (tramadol) two four times a day and was not very good, now on 30mg longtec (oxycodon) twice a day and my mobility it's so much better, no sideaffects yet (2 months) I can actually play with my children note sho very happy, would recommend everybody not take tramadol if needed for long term, glad I have such a great doctor

In a nutshell from an old guy who will tell you the truth. Been on opiates for 25 years. Less is always better if your pain is tolerable. Because of the way our bodies work the more you take, the more you will probably need to achieve the same SENSATION of pain relief. If your meds are making you less coherent, obese, slurry speech and changing topics mid sentence you really need to stop, sober up a bit and think. Benz type like Valium are even worse and are not analgesics except for muscle type probs generally. Even though they are not physically as addictive in my oppinion, because they kinda make you feel like drinking alcohol, they are much harder to quit. Bad kidneys take tylenol. Bad liver then go to opiods. Read, learn all before taking addictive products, or drinking alcohol. BEST......TAKE NOTHING IF POSSIBLE PERIOD or live in Hell with me.

Hi, I’ve been on Oxycodone since 12/2016 post pyloroplasty for Gastroparesis. The surgery was unsuccessful by the way. But, since surgery my pain has been so intense. I have a compassionate dr who prescribes 10mg/3x a day of oxycodone. When I was discharged from the hospital, I was given Roxycodone liquid, same amount per day and it was so effective...this was from the hospital pharmacy. At home, the local CVS fills my script. I noticed a difference immediacy. The Oxycodone liquid I receive is much thinner. I can’t recall the first brand, but the brand I got a month ago was different. The brand name is Major. It’s even thinner and has a horrible taste and seems like it doesn’t last nearly as long. Is it my mind playing tricks or can the brands really differ. Thanks for your help!
