Diacerein Vs Glucosamine

hi.
my mother has been diagnose with osteoporosis.she was advised glucosamine initially...and now she has been advised diacerein capsules.It might be quite layman like to ask...but which is the better medicine of the two?? there is a third option of biofosa 35 as well. her age is 53 Yrs and she has no prior history of this ailment.

Well, the Glucosamine is a supplement, not a medication. It is substance that is naturally found in our joints and there has actually been no proof that supplementing it will actually replace it in the joints and help.

The Diacerein is an actual drug, it works by inhibiting interleukin-1.

Bifosa contains Alendronate and this helps with bone metabolism, to prevent them from breaking down further.

Now, of the two actual medications, they both do different things, so it can't really be said that either one is better than the other.

The only real way to discover what will help her is to actually try it and see how it affects her.
