Cymbalta Too Many Bad Side Effects

I Have Had Severe Depression & Anxiety Most Of My Life, It Is Definitely A Daily Battle I Fight Everyday.. I Wanted To Come On This Cymbalta Chat To Actually Be Able To Talk To People Who Can Relate To Me & Know What I'm Going Through..I Started 30 Mg Cymbalta 3 Months Ago & My Side Effects Still Haven't Gone Away & Are Really Freaking Me Out.. I Have Experienced A Dizzy Swirling Feeling In My Head, Nausea, My Blood Pressure Got High &Heart Feels Like It's Pounding.. My Anxiety & Shaking Has Gotten Worse Which Confuses Me Because that was one reason My Doctor put me on Cymbalta cause he said it was used for people that had anxiety disorders. Ugh! :( I'm Miserable I Just Want To Get Off Of This Medicine But Don't Know The Safest Way To Do That?? Is There Anybody Out There That Has Had A Similar Experience????

Yes, those can be side effects of this medication, they've been known to occur in some people that take it and probably mean it's just not the right drug for you.

A slow taper is usually best, but you should be able to try a different drug, so you may not need to taper, at all. Have you spoken to your prescriber? There are other options that are similar, but which may not cause you so many problems.

My sister went on the medication about 2 months ago and really felt it was great for her but is loosing about 1lb a day recently. she has lossed about 55 lbs total. I finally talked her into not taken them anymore. The doctor told her you need to ween off. She is taking 1 pill one day, skipping the next and doing this four times with this schedule. Then she is to take 1 pill one day and skip 2 days. She is doing just 2 cycles of this. Hope this helps.

Quit Cymbalta as soon as possible with a doctor's help and support. Lily says drug is not addictive, but getting off is awful. Withdrawal symptoms that seem as bad or worse than I've heard about alcohol detox. Reduced dose by 20 mg per day. Trembling throughout entire body to the point cannot balance on one foot, headache so much worse that worst hangover ever, not to mention sleeplessness for days.

Ok Everybody! Last Time I Wrote on Here was Taking Cymbalta; Well It's Been 2 Weeks Since I Have Been Off Cymbalta...Im In Hell the side effects are awful I even had to go to the hospital last week!! :( Is There Anything out there to help these side effects????

OMG, i almost dropped my phone when i saw ur post!!!! Dizzy swirling then fainting episode happened to me too at wk 2 of 30 mg!!! Previously, n e fainting spells I had thru out yrs, I could describe in detail ALL the phases of passing out. This nightmare drug is definitely the cause!!!! Happened so fast, i woke up on floor confused & with twitches of arms & legs! Scared the sh__ out of me!!! Wish i read all these posts prior to trying this med. Still getting calf cramps, headaches were and still border migraine status! Been off for 1 1/2 wks now. Feel awful still. Was 1st attempt of this med AND MY LAST!!! Just a quick thank u 4 sharing ur pain, thought i was losing my mind!!!
