Cyanocobalamin Vit B12

I recently took Cyanocobalamin shot at drs and since then I'm dehydrated and have insomnia increased heart rate and bp. The hospital gave me fluids and sent me home. Did anyone else have this reaction or know how long a shot remains in your system? It's been a week. Hoping for rest soon, I usually have no problem sleeping. It's like I had a hundred red bulls.

The insomnia and energy burst can be normal side effects of vitamin B12. Some people even take it just for that reason.

The Dehydration, however, is not normal, according to the side effects listed by the FDA.

This is a nutrient that is always present in your body, so I can't really give you a time frame.

What has your doctor advised?

Thanks Verwon, my dr never heard of reaction, the cardiologist said maybe be out 2 and half weeks. This wed will be two weeks. Haven't slept and my heart rate has gone from 75 at rest to 125 and when I do anything races 150 sometimes 170. I am soo mad at myself I let the dr give me the shot, I had had bad reaction when I took the pill before if b12. It is listed online that it can cause insomnia and tachycardia but no where or does anyone know how to counteract it. I am dieing for my sleep back and unsettling heart rate to slow down. And the dr who gave the shot never even blood tested me. I just mentioned another dr said my levels were slightly low.
