I wasn't able to locate whether or not the B12 was in fact cyanocobalamin. However I determined that the manufacturer is Pharex Health Corp. You can send them a direct email inquiring about this:

Also below is a link to their official contact page, containing phone numbers, fax numbers, etc, if you happen to live outside of the U.S:

Just wanted to add a side note, that cyanocobalamin is the least effective form of B12. You should be looking for B12 containing methylcobalamin, as it is the real form.

I was alarmed by the information I got from NaturalNews which I immediately asked my doctor who prescribed me Vit B that contains cyanocobalamin. How true, this is what i want to find out! According to the news:

"Cyanocobalamin is a cheap, synthetic chemical made in a laboratory. It's virtually impossible for you to find this form in nature. Low-end vitamin manufacturers use it because it can be bought in bulk and added to products with claims that they "contain vitamin B-12!" What they don't tell you is that the vitamin is bound to a toxic, poisonous cyanide molecule that must then be removed from your body by your liver. Cyanocobalamin is also up to 100 times cheaper than the higher quality methylcobalamin."

That news is definitely true. Being in the nutrition field, I found out the same only a short while ago through my own research. I also found out that Cyanocobalamin only stays in your system for a short while (you have to keep taking it everyday pretty much) and that also makes it less effective as a B12 supplement as compared to Methylcobalamin; which is said to stay in your system a lot longer because your body knows what it is per say.

A lot of people are deficient in B12 and don't even know it. This bacteria is mostly extinct in our soils, due to the way a lot of these big manufacturers grow crops now-a-days. So it seems like the only way to get the right B12 is to grow your own fruits and veggies and not wash off the little bits of dirt (soil) on it when you eat it (as that is where B12 is found); or to supplement with Methylcobalamin.

Anyhow, thank you very much for sharing that valuable information as I think it will help a lot of people who read this post. If I find anymore info to add to it I will be sure to post back my findings!
