Concor 1.25mg Low Heart Rate

Updated

Hello There, Would appreciate if anyone could please answer my question whether my Mom who is 64 years of age now needs to take Concor 1.25 mg once a day at all please. Truth of the matter is that her heart rate is way too low as a result - it`s only about 40 per /minute and blood pressure is about 100-120/50-60. Cardiologist doesn't seem to believe that heart rate is that low and keeps prescribing it. She was prescribed 2.5 mg per day and had a heart rate of 30 per / minute so had to decrease it to 1.25 mg and now it`s about 40-50. I wonder if she should be taking that particular medication at ALL giving the fact of such a low heart rate. She doesn't feel well which is quite obvious isn't it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks in advance. Best Regards, O

How often is her heart rate that low?

And is that a resting heart rate?

The cardiologist may be prescribing it because they are seeing it higher at other times, such as when she goes in for an appointment.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.

Is she on any other medications?

I take Amilopress At 25.every 12 hrs. While it controls BP, my heart beats are usefully 60 and in the morning near 50. So also dystolic pressure is about 55-60
Pls suggest if need to change doses or medicine. I had angioplasty 4 yearz before. I am 71 years old male.
Kind regards
