Colospa Retard 200mg

I have been prescribed 2 capsules of 200mg Colospa Retard. I am 79 year, Male suffering following problems:

- not passing smoothly stool;
- bloated feeling in abdomen
- constipated, segmented stool
-abdominal pain sometimes
-loss of hunger/appetite
- after lunch noisy gastric movement in abdomen/GI region
- not frequent but sometimes used cremafin M / diegene -but had temporary relief
-gas formation constant
-spasmic pain too is at times experienced

Want to know if Colospa which has been prescribed by Physcian for 4 weeks is in order. I have nearly been on 2 capsules of 200 mg for two weeks. Experiencing not much of relief. Should I continue or it will have some side effects? How long it is to be taken? My hypertension is well under control and so is my creatin levels
