Cold Turkey Withdraw Methadone

I am on 7 of going cold turkey after being on 55mg for 3 years. This is the worst thing I have ever been through and to make things worse I'm going through a break up..
My body hurts, stomach kills, can't eat, can't sleep, constantly feel anxious and nervous. Craving a fix bad. Depression has kicked in big time. ??. How much longer will this physical and mental torture last.

Hello, Kirsty! How are you feeling? Has there been any improvement, yet?

It may take a month, or so, before you really start to feel better. Methadone is well known for causing horrible withdrawals, that's why some people never get off of it and end up on a lifetime maintenance dose.

As reported by the FDA, other withdrawal effects may include rebound pain, diarrhea and fever.

Honey try to find a another clinic that you can get into. You can actually go into cardiac arrest. I want off of it and I ended up right back using again and now I'm back in the methadone clinic and if I want to go off of it then I would do it by five milligrams a week. I would never ever even attempt just stopping.
