Tylenol does NOT have codeine in it. Tylenol 3 and 4 which are prescription meds do have codeine in them.

So i need some advice i was seen at the dentist due to a broken tooth and a really bad tooth ended up having a root canal done on both of them he said that was the only way to save them and unfortunately i couldn't wait to go the pain was so bad so after they sent me home with tylenol 3s and at the time pain managnment hadn't called me yet but this morning i got a call from them and my appointment is 4days away from now! If i stop takeing them and drink plenty of water will i pass my drug test i really need this appointment to get my quality of life back! Can someone please help me

WRONG. Tylenol ( acetaminophen )
Contain's NO CODEINE AND IS AN OTC PREPERATION.HOWEVER TYLENOL #3 or TYLENOL #4 DO CONTAIN CODIENE 30 or 60 of codeine phosphate respectively.
Hydrocodone is an opioid and when tested for shows as that synthetic formulation. Codeine however is an opiate and returns a positive for opiate consistent within this drug classification.Hope that helps....

Ok just reciently I was fired from my job after takeing a drug test for a promotion. The morning of the drug test I was in the emergency room passing a kidney stone. The dr gave me Tylenol 3 with codine in liquid form. Well later that day I took my drug test and and I came out positive for hydrocodone. Apparently, the Tylenol Metabolized back into hydrocodone witch gave me a dirty drug test. This only happens in some people, I'm not saying it will happen to you but I am currently looking for a lawyer..
