Clonazepam Ingredients Mylan Brand Vs Teva Vs Accord (Page 5)

Please help with this, i have taken the mylan brand for several years, when the pharmacy could no longer order it they ordered Teva, it immediately gave me pains that seemed to be in my chest....kind of the opposite of what it's supposed to do. So with Mylan being available though only two pharmacies, someone mentioned accord...but what is the difference of fillers. could you simply list all the ingredients for all three brands so if Accord matches Mylan i'm ok?

I really appreciate the quick responses, but am extremely nervous about the whole situation. I left a voicemail with my doctor's office two weeks ago explaining the situation (had some TEVAS left), and never received a callback. I'm now out. I also talked to 7 pharmacists in the area, and none of them knew what was going on, or sounded concerned at all. They won't even order the brand name Klonopin for me. If I go to the ER, and hopefully find someone that knows about the TEVA situation, what do you all think they might do for me? I'd normally be sound asleep right now with no worries and ready for work in the morning. Instead, I'm wide awake sweating, shaky, and feel like I may end up in an ambulance tomorrow if not earlier. Obviously I won't be able to wean off using the Accord, so I feel like I'm at a complete loss. This is the worst experience I could ever imagine.

CVS usually has brand name in stock and Walgreens can order any med you HAVE a script for. Nobody’s going to order anything if you don’t have a script. Pharmacists could care less about your current situation from what I’ve noticed over the past few years. They ’re concerned more about following the laws regarding dispensing meds appropriately and making their numbers rather than customers feelings- Sorry to say.

Do you have a family Dr? Go to your family Dr and tell them what’s going on. They can get ahold of your Psychiatrist or they can prescribe another benzo until you can get to your psychiatrist. My family Dr will prescribe any benzo I asked for. Don’t be afraid.

I absolutely have a prescription. 90 x 1mg Klonopin a month for well over a decade. All have been TEVA brand until recently. My next refill is in 2 days, so I appreciate the CVS and Walgreens recommendations very much. I will have my prescription transferred from Kroger (Accord only) in attempts to get Actavis or name brand Klonopin. I completely respect the law and the effects benzos have on me. At this point, I want to get off of them completely, because this is a disaster. My next doctor's appointment is September 20th, so just trying to survive until then. I will tell them exactly what's going on, and ask for a plan to wean off benzos completely. Even though I'm also prescribed to one 1mg XANAX a day, I don't like the short term effect or the feeling compared to TEVA Klonopin.

I don't have a Psychiatrist (yet), but am hoping my current family doctor and/or nurse practitioner will get me through this. In the meantime, this site and discussion thread has really helped me out. Only here can I find anyone that can relate, nowhere else, and that alone is helping me cope tremendously. Hi Maggie. I have been using the brand accord for awhile now, and have had no issue's with this one, clonazepam does what it says, but constant use will make it seem it isn't working anymore, so i just take 1mg every other day so it doesn't seem like it does not work.

I keep trying the Actavis and it starts the itchies everytime. Now I thought I had found the answer Northstar which I kept going back to, now IT has been discontinued!! So I am up against a wall. And still itching - every since I took Actavis after the horrible Solco experience. Here's a interesting fact. My doc gave me a trial RX for lorazepam to try half the day to see how I feel on it (which is not great!) BUT I don't itch for that part of the day! I've been itching so much I had blood tests done, but was told it is probably allergy (season). My husband and I both believe it's more to it. I have less than a week to get with the two docs I am working with to make a decision before I run out of Northstar. I'd bet my bottom dollar that if I had some Mylan left, it wouldn't make me itch! I'm beginning to wonder if Mylan was a very weak drug,like a sugar pill!! I know, generics are created equal, blah, blah, blah.......

They could care less about the patients. Only thing I could think of is that the price of the active ingredient has increased substantially or one of the generic manufacturers has cut a deal with the others to not manufacture the generic and let them have the market. That’s all that makes since.... 4 generic manufacturers within the last few months decided to discontinue it

You are right - they don't care about us - it's all about the money. Big Pharma in the USA has decided that there is no money to be made on the generics so they have "arranged" to not manufacture them. There are members of Congress who are trying to talk sense into Big Pharma, but so far no results. In other countries the same drugs (brand name) are far cheaper than here (i.e. insulin). Met a man from India the other day who brought all his meds with him when he and his wife came to visit their kids for six months. He said the US is a great place to visit, but they can't afford to live here because of the high cost of drugs. I'm taking Actavis and so far it's working, but not the same as Teva by a long shot.

I had the itching problem with Actavis as well when taking, never had it with my Sandoz or even when taking ACCORD. Luckily I was able to get ACCORD when I talked to the Pharmacist about it she said she had heard this from several persons. So far the ACCORD seems to work the best of them out of the two I've been able to get a hold of. Good luck all.

I have had terrible side effects with any generic drug made by Camber/Teva. My first was with my pain medication which was made by Activis for years. Walgreens switched to Camber/Teva and I became very depressed, felt like I had the flu, etc. I found a pharmacy that still has Activis and all those symptoms went away. I noticed that my muscle relaxant was different this month. I didn't pay any attention until I started having the same symptons. I looked, and, sure enough, the manufacturer was Camber/Teva. I recently saw an article where a medication was taken off the market because of deadly side effects. Guess what? It was made by Camber/Teva. They should not be allowed to make medications. Avoid them at all costs!

Teva is an Israeli company which has had some trouble recently. They have had to retrench, and owning multiple lines of Cloneazepam when it is now being treated as a schedule 2 drug, even though it is not, is probably not sustainable.

Why are they still making the 1mg version in both the Teva version and the Actavis version then? Seems as if it was just temporary then they would take it down from their website. I called Teva and they said they would continue to make both

I Don't believe they are. I, too am using cut-in-half 1mg tevas which my pharmacy happens to have in stock. look up Tevas website, and it shows actavis pills.

TEVA is only making the one from Actavis that they bought from the company, least that is what I was told when I called Monday and complained about the Actavis that they are making. Dang that stuff is horrible I took it for 2 days ended up in ER due to having an adverse reaction from it making me itch from head to toe like no tomorrow. I wish they hadn't stopped making all the brands we had to choose from. Now we are stuck with so few choices that don't work very well.

I have tried Teva, Actavis, Mylan and Accord. I find Accord to be superior.

Most of Teva's manufacturing is overseas, and they have a lot of complaints

I too am having my pretty good luck after getting my last script at Walmart filled with Accord after they ran out of Teva. I only take it at night so I don’t know how it works taking it in the day but at night it helps me get to sleep a lot faster and stay asleep better then Teva ever did and at a lower dosage

James, If you read through these cloneazepam threads, you will find that most people are having problems because of TEVA's disappearance. Yours is the exception to the rule with respect to TEVA experience.

Teva was the best. Accord is junk. Trying to get the actavis brand. Mylan stopped making it also, never tried mylan. NorthStar I thought had some good ratings. According to this site, they are discontinuing it also. Accord does nothing for my sleep problem.

Mylan was great!!! 11 years and no problems~ now its been downhill on 5 different manufacturers, Accord, Actavis, NAME BRAND ROCHE GENENTECH, Par (disintegrating tablets) and now Solco (which are eh).
