Clonazepam Help Me (Page 19)

Updated

I have always used the same brand of clonazepam. However they changed what is in the medication. I've been gravely ill because my body can't take the change. Now I want to not take it any longer because it's making me ill. How can I detox slowly if I don't have a decent batch of clo that agrees with me? If anyone has any real information please let me know. I'm ill feeling every day if I take it it makes me ill and get withdrawal If I don't take it I get still getting withdrawal.

Hi Jacqueline, Today makes one year to the date that I posted my problem with the Sandoz clonazepam. It's inhumane how these pharmaceuticals companies just change what's in the medications ruining peoples lives. The problem actually had started back in April of last year. Sandoz denied it and the FDA didn't do a thing about it. It's been hell since then causing me to have a stroke and damage my eyesight, still haven't recovered. I pray that God will have mercy on us and heal us and watch over us and protect us from all their evil lies.

Hi Jacqueline, God Bless you. I haven't answered you because I'm still not doing well.. I was really hoping to give you good news but unfortunately I can't. It's going on ten months and I've been feeling fatigued, very exhausted. My eyesight is still not good, very draining. I'm beginning to feel hopeless. Always feeling run down and tired. Sometimes I feel like my eyesight is clearing but then it just goes back bad again. I blame this on the evil of Sandoz pharmaceutical co. for making unacceptable mediation and denying it. They have ruined what's left of my life. I hope that you are doing better. You are ways in my prayers. Please keep in touch.

Re: Chrissy (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

I have taken Trazodone V 61 60 for years. The manufacturer was bought out, then bought out again and now all that is available is Pliva 433 50 mg. I do not sleep soundly with this new brand. I found some old V 61 60 that I got thru mail order over a year ago and took some of them. I slept soundly again. I know the new version is not the same as the original. I also have a strong sensitivity to pill coatings. Aspirin now bothers my stomach. I can't take brand Aleve...I have to buy generic which does not bother my stomach, same with Metformin..just one by Walgreens. It's sad that meds can no longer be as original. One of the Pliva manufacturers is in Croatia. I researched my Metformin couple years ago on FDA website and found India manufactures about generic pills for 100 different distributors. Bring back production to America where standards are regulated. I need my sleep! I have a crock load of ortho problems, fibro, insomnia, etc. plus arthritis. I think people take so many drugs now for their problems and they don't all interact in a good way. How many people are on anti acid drugs? I took Previcid for 15 months, because my generic thyroid pill and my generic Metformin were causing me problems--coating on pill. Since 2007, my Metformin has been made by 7 different manufacturers, and out of that seven, only 3 agreed with my stomach. And yes, one of those was Sandoz brand, sold by Walmart and then a change of vendors, and I had to switch to Walgreens brand. Sucks, going with cheapest vendors and customers have to suffer!

Re: JD (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

I know some clonazepam had that minty taste like the white 2mg C15 I think by Watson or Mylan, u can taste the mint but once you swallow it, it almost feels like heartburn or you are 100 pepper mints that are stuck in your chest, like a eucalyptus feeling. I had 1mg clonazepam last month same pharmacy I always go to they are darker blue with C 1 on them they didn't have mint taste and worked fine, now this month I got 1mg light green Teva 833 and they are crunchy and no taste a little sweet but after I swallow I feel that minty sensation in my chest? Idk what they are doing to benzos these days because my uncle I live with takes 1mg Xanax they are round blue ones I believe R 037 something like that and my other roommate gets 2mg yellow bars R 039 we all get our medication at same pharmacy, the bars are awful I don't take Xanax but when I do I can feel it so to test it out one day we did a test, I didn't take any clonazepam, I took one of the yellow 2mg bars I didn't feel tired or really anything. I didn't go in withdrawal but we waited about 8 hours I took 2 of the 1mg little blue ones which I could taste so much stronger that Xanax taste which his yellow bars didn't have and within 45 min I felt great, buzzed, relaxed, hungry n went straight to sleep. He is actually going to see if he can locate where the green bars are sold what drug store and see if that helps, none of us abuse our anxiety meds and often have leftovers each month, he said if he cannot get the green ones or if so and they don't work he's explaining it to the Dr he gets 60 bars month he says he's going to ask for 120 1mg instead. Hey, I don't blame him. I don't look to feel high off my meds but I do want to know that they work for what they are prescribed for. All these companies trying to copy benzo and make $ Actavis, Qualitiest, Teva, Watson, Sandoz and others which I know Watson n Mylan are older companies maybe even Teva too but how about Roche just letting us Klonopin and Valium takers get non generic K cut n V cut meds back and Upjohn or Pfizer come back with real 2mg white bars with XANAX across front n 2 on back instead of these overseas copycats, it's absurd.

It's not funny to people who have severe panic attacks as I do to suffer through an attack is debilitating and hard core. I've managed through classes and all and switched around benzos, I stopped Xanax although it comes on fast, it leaves fast and it is hard to come off, I switched to Klonopin because it keeps me even if that makes sense. If I were you I would gather up the pills that are supposed to be clonazepam that are making you sick. Take them up to the pharmacy you got them ask for the head pharmacist or closest to that person there. Explain what's going on. Your symptoms and all and say when I took this other brand......I wasn't having these issues, do you have it in stock? If so can you please take these and give me those, if not do you know what pharmacy has them if they say no you call all pharmacies in area, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart n little mom n pop ones usually have the real deal u may pay more but you will be better off, than when you find what works next Dr visit explain say I want to get them at this pharmacy now because these clonazepam work and the others do not, I am having attacks or whatever your issues are and have him call that pharmacy or if it's written you bring it but be sure that pharmacy is always going to have that brand you want. I believe your Doctor can write the prescription for say 60 1mg clonazepam; he can write or check the generic box and write in 'can only take brand generic name Sandoz or Teva' or whatever works. I believe I remember my friend getting that done with a medication of hers because some fillers in the one brand were making her violently ill while the same drug from a different brand she took was just fine.

Re: Brewton (# 366) Expand Referenced Message

Yea the trazadone I can recall always says pliva. No kidding after my dog had knee surgery I needed something to keep his anxiety down, vet gave me trazadone 100mg n they were not working my dog was not feeling them he was still hyper I call the vet he says just keep giving him 100mg until it works. Ummm I think not I'm not going to keep giving him 100mg til it works he switched it to 2mg xanax because my dog was pulling the stitches out, trying to run on an operated knee. The xanax worked it was 1-2 pills not over 4mg daily 1-2 he's before anxiety. I just gave him 1 in day 1 at night worked great

Re: Sarah (# 371) Expand Referenced Message

Sarah we must share some kind of bond. I was thinking of you for 2 days and wondering how you were doing an if your eyes got better. This has been a very bad year for me. I think the last time I wrote I told you about this Suboxzone I took to not have withdrawal from my pain med. That all backfired I have not been able to get of even though the dose is so tiny I have to use tweezers to pick it up but the horrible nausea and severe pain has been awful. Something has gone wrong with Sandoz brands I can't find my heart med but I did find Rite Aid that had the Klonipon. Drugs Stores says there is a nation wide short gave. I would have been better off just staying on my pain med instead of trying something to get me off just to see if I could make it without anything. I know you probably remember the trouble I had with Paxil. Well I went back on it and this go around I have not had three hours of sickness after taking it. I just wish they had a cure for this burning mouth syndrome. It is so painful. Enough of me I would like for you to keep me posted on your health and thanks for your prayers.

Re: JD (# 372) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Jacqueline, I'm sorry that your still not doing well with these meds. I understand because I've experienced it myself. I'm still not doing well myself all because of the way these pharmaceutical companies are producing these drugs. It's so sad that the FDA doesn't help us. Thanks for getting back to me. Please keep in touch. Sincerely hope we can both recover. May God Bless us all suffering from these horrible drugs being produced today. Take care keep praying.

I think you should call your doctor and tell them the problem you're having. They should let you bring in the bad batch you got and write a new script for the clonopin that you can get filled with a different brand. My doctor did that and she's pretty strict. Don't suffer!

Re: Chrissy (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

I've been on Paxil, Ativan and other meds for many years but my doctor left so I went to see another so-called doctor (FNP actually) and he took me off everything cold turkey! I lost 29 pounds, couldn't eat or sleep and I sweat hard. I was never supposed to come off as I had 4 mental breakdowns. I finally found a doctor that put me back on these meds and I've gained my weight back. Can you tell me if I can sue this FNP for what he did to me? I was terribly sick and had the shakes really bad and he's associated with our hospital.

Re: Trish (# 376) Expand Referenced Message

I'm not lawyer but it sounds like malpractice. I think your best bet is to report him or her to the state medical board. Lawyers generally don't want to sue unless there is a big pot of money waiting. Like if you were permanently disabled by a stroke caused by not taking the medicine or you died then your family could sue.

Re: Trish (# 376) Expand Referenced Message

Omg Trish, my heart goes out to you. I had a similar situation and I called back the office right away because taking me cold turkey ruined my eyesight. Such incompetence out there today. I'm glad that you're ok after such an ordeal. Between some doctors and these pharmaceuticals companies we need to pray for God to protect us from them. I certainly hope that you can find a lawyer to sue but it's not easy lawyers don't like to take on these cases unless like the other reply told you it's got to be hundreds of people affected. But don't give up trying. May God Bless you it hurts to hear of so much incompetence and lack of concern for patients.

Re: Mouse (# 374) Expand Referenced Message

I gotta agree with mouse on that if you have the klonopins on the bottle it tells you the brand usually, if not go on the internet and look up the color, shape, and marking, and you can read about it, and who manufactures it. Then I'd research and find other people who have written blogs or statements and print it out, go to your Dr and tell the Dr, look I was getting this brand and it's worked great. Now I'm getting this brand and I'm having anxiety, no sleep and bad withdrawals. You may even call some pharmacy and see what manufacturer of klonopin they carry. If you find one that has worked for you, ask them is this your normal manufacturer's brand always because I have had a lot of bad issues with other brands... If so then just go there n fill it or have the Dr transfer you there. If they don't tell you, ask your Dr to write a prescription for NON generic klonopin, not generic brand clonazepam and you will get the real deal. Or if a manufacturer like Teva works, have him write it out and write "can only take brand name Teva" so then you get what you need.

Change to brand name or .5 every ten days BUT that will not work on this brand as it has been tested and there are only fillers no active ingredient. Trust me. I learned the hard way.
