Clozaril contains the active ingredient Clozapine, it is most commonly used to treat schizophrenia, when other treatments haven't worked. In those with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, it can help decrease the rate of suicidal behavior. It is usually considered a last resort treatment, since it creates a risk of low white blood cell count, risk of seizures and high blood sugar.
