My mam is currently taking citropan for extremely bad depression. dosage was increased last week to 50mg. my mam is really feeling awful since increase and we are wondering is it because of increase se is feeling like dis? my mam is depressed almost six monts and on tablets about 5 monts. was previously on 30 mg but gp increased dosage

I am on citrapram 20mg but lately I have pressure of my ex and her threats and behaviour towards me, I feel useless as she involves family, I get very emotional and feel helpless, i feel I have no control of my own life as I have no strength mentally to overcome these problem physically or mentally. Please help, shall I increase my dose?!

From what I've been able to find, these are actually various foreign brand names and/or misunderstandings of the name of the medication Citalopram.

This drug is an SSRI antidepressant, which is most commonly used to treat major depressive disorder, though it does have some other off-label uses, such as treating anxiety, PMDD and premature ejaculation.

Is this the correct medication?

Your best bet would be to look into invasive counselling for stress management. Look into free meetings offered locally if seeing a doctor isn't feasible. The pill won't always solve the issue but the feeling.. Learning the mental habits for good health will be.. It's not all your fault you will find sanctuary and these problems are temporary.
