@leah martinez,

Are you wondering if Zithromax (azithromycin), an antibiotic, can be used to treat a cough or the flu?

Based on my research, antibiotics have no effect on the flu because the flu is a virus. It can however, be used to treat respiratory infections.

Learn More: Zithromax Details

Please post back if you have any more questions and I'll be happy to assist you, I hope this info helps!
