Chantix Case
UpdatedAbout 6 months ago I finally decided to try the prescription of chantix that I recieved before all of the warnings after I started taking it I quickly started having depression and violent out breaks also suicidal tendencys. I stopped taking the medication but the side effects are still with me, at this time I don't have insurance and can't afford to get help. Only recently I noticed that the prescription was expired along time ago, until I startex having problems I had no idea what was going on with all the cases by other people for the same problems I'm having now I see that they have settled with every one does that mean I can't make them resposible for my medical bills that are going to come from trying to repair the damage their pills have caused me? I've emailed lawyers but they never called back so now I don't know what to do. Any help would be great.

Hi stan,
I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Just to be clear, you took the Chantix before finding out about the warnings associated with it? If so, you should be able to get legal help. However, since the medication you took was expired I'm not sure how that might change things.
How long ago did the medication expire? More than a year ago? Some medications can be harmful if taken after the expiration date, so it's possible that the negative effects you are experiencing may have something to with that but it's hard to know for sure.
Also, when exactly did you stop taking the Chantix? Did you taper off or stop cold turkey? You may continue to experience symptoms until all of the medication has made its way out of your system. Based on my research, the elimination half-life of Chantix (varenicline) is approximately 24 hours. Therefore, in 24 hours half of your last dose will leave your system. In another 24 hours another half dose will leave your system, and so on.
I hope this information helps in some way!
You are full of crap. The warnings were out in 2013. You are, in fact, describing all the classic symptoms, but not mentioning anything else. You do NOT have suicidal "tendencys" from the Chantix because, as you said, you stopped taking it. The Chantix is out of your system in approx. 5-6 days, so, six months later ... not in your system. You also put that you don't have insurance and are expecting lawyers to get you money for future medical expenses? What doctor prescribed this to you? I'm going to guess, none. In fact, you are either a complete liar, which I am going to assume is the case, or, you stole someones script, didn't look at the expiration date and are looking for a handout. Either way, you are full of crap and have ZERO case. Sad.
I took chantix went too prison ,maximum security hospital, almost murdering my whole family..look up keithsluder chantix.pfizer came to court and said not proven too do that..well the videos, actions all pointed,to chantix..i know it was this.i was in pycosis for long time, the first 10 days were undescrible,Pfizer did nothing but lie....as far,as I'm concerned ,the man up stairs will be taking care of most of there employees, sad part is will b way before their timd
