Hi Amir, I'm sorry about your ear...I'm sure it's probably painful. Can you go see a doctor? What country are you in? And where did you get this medicine from?

Here's what i found online let me know if I can help at all Amir,

Treatment for Eardrum Rupture: Treatments for an eardrum rupture are mainly designed to relieve pain and to eliminate or prevent infection. You can ease the pain of a ruptured eardrum at home with heat and pain relievers. One simple remedy is to place a warm, dry compress on your ear several times daily.

Patching: If your ear does not heal on its own, your doctor might decide to patch the eardrum. Patching involves placing a medicated paper patch over the tear in the membrane. The patch encourages the membrane to grow back together.

Antibiotics: Antibiotics will clear up the infection that might have led to your eardrum rupture. They will also protect you from developing new infections as a result of the perforation. Your doctor may prescribe antibiotics in an oral pill form or as medicated eardrops. You may also be told to use both forms of medication.

Surgery: In rare cases, surgery may be required to patch the hole in the eardrum. A surgical repair of a perforated eardrum is called tympanoplasty. During tympanoplasty, your surgeon takes tissue from another area of your body and grafts it onto the hole in your eardrum.

Outlook, Recovery, and Prevention of Future Ruptures: A ruptured eardrum often heals without any invasive treatment. Most people with ruptured eardrums experience only a temporary hearing loss. You can usually expect a full recovery within eight weeks. You can promote healing by not blowing your nose any more than absolutely necessary. Blowing your nose creates pressure in your ears. The increased pressure can be painful and can also slow your eardrum’s healing. It is important to keep your ear dry to prevent further infection. You can gently stuff your ears with cotton when you bathe to prevent water from entering the ear canal. Your doctor will most likely ask you to avoid swimming until your ear heals.

Hi Amir, I'm glad you are doing something that is helping your ear get better. The first question you asked is will your ear heal permanently with the medicine- Your doctor gave you the medicine because he was able to find a bacterial infection in your ear, this medicine is to treat the infection and then your ear will heal, probably without any surgery at all, especially if you follow the directions below about how to avoid making it worse etcetera.

Now, wives tales aside, your uncle's mental illness cannot be caused from ear surgery or any surgery. This is superstition and if you have to get surgery done on your ear, your ear does not connect to your brain like some think, it actually connects to your throat, through the eustachian tube, and NOTHING will happen to you Amir, I can promise you that and your doc would too. You make sure you follow doctor directions exactly as he tells you to or you won't be getting your ear any better. If you have any more questions or worry Amir, ask, I hope I'm helping, there's no reason to be afraid!

Amir also make sure you read the post below, I know it is long but it tells you that your ear should heal in 8 weeks, to make sure you keep ears dry, no swimming, use cotton when bathing. Read it :)

Dear Amir and Ash,

Actually, I had a perforated eardrum for many years and got it operated few years before but again it happened and got it operated in 2013 but once again it has happened but Doctors says it is a very small hole and it will heal on its on. He prescribed anti allergic and nose drops as he says it is due to Sinus infection. Slight pain is always there in the ear and I have a feeling that hole will become bigger instead of healing. At present not taking any medicine except loratadine and getting continuous headache and neck pain. Can you advise what action I must take and what test I must do to cure it for once and all. hearing loss is also there.
